Question about preceptorship

I'm torn between a preceptorship in oncology or neurology. Either would be on specialty medsurg units. I have a knack for neurology but I seem to like oncology patients more, if that makes sense. My program advisor is pushing oncology because she thinks there will be more need in the future. But I've done better academically in neurology. How does one choose?

Thanks,

Dave

Prayer always works well for me...pray about it, then go where your heart leads you :saint: .

Thanks, hlfpnt. Your post and a recent moving experience with a patient have helped. My heart says oncology. :nuke:
