I wanted to know:

1. What is the minimum to score on the NLN-PAX Exam?

2. What type of practice/review book I should buy?

3. How many times I can take the exam?

I’m in the program right now for NU 101. I got in with a 4.0 GPA(including micro and A&P 2) but pax was cancelled due to covid. I know you should be aiming for at-least a 120 on the pax And ideally 130+. I’ve seen many people get in with 3.2-3.5 GPA’s but those people will most likely not make it through the first semester. NU 101 is on a different stratosphere in terms of workload.. in terms of practice book, get the one on amazon from nln. You can only take the exam like once every semester so you need to do well on the first try to get in faster. Good luck and make sure you get ALL A’s.

With the current GPA, 3.5, I have right now, what would be the preferred PAX exam score?

I’d guess to solidify your chances you should aim for 150. I know they look at your A&P 1+2 and consider those heavily. If you got less than an A in A&P 1 I’d suggest studying HARD for A&P 2.

Do you know if people get accepted without their A&P2 grade? I have completed the 4 required prerequisites with a high GPA and the PAX with 150+. The only thing is that I'm currently taking A&P2 and want to submit my application soon for the Spring. The only prerequisite I have left to take after this semester is Micro.

If you are taking A&P 2 right now I think it should be fine to apply. I’m not 100% sure if you need micro before nu 101. I would call the nursing department on that. But you do not want to take it with NU 101. Microbiology is harder than A&P and NU 101 is way harder than both(you have way more *** to worry about just for this one class). Trust me on this.

Thanks for the advice. I did end up calling the nursing department and they told me I should wait until I am taking Micro to apply to the nursing program.
