Hello all, quick question. I have a close friend who is involved in selling products online. He learned the business from his father who sells health products online that he has an RN or MD purchase. For example, he has a nurse or doctor purchase probiotics and then sells the product on Amazon. He recently approached me to go through me to purchase probiotics to sell. What is the liability for me in something like this? I obviously don't want to get involved in anything that would jeopardize my license but I've never been involved in these things so I don't know much about the risks and liabilities. Thanks in advance for any information.

There is no conceivable reason I can see for you to get involved. There is no meds that a RN can buy and resell that a layperson could not. So if you moving a product from one place to another, to grossly benefit a third parjty, makes you what in law enforcement is know as a mule. Or your using your profession to pitch products...which makes you a shill

You absolutely don't want to be involved with that. There are professional line supplements that are sold to health care professionals only and I think that is why your friend wants to involve you. Health care providers have to sign a contract that they won't resell the supplements on Amazon or sites like Amazon, but it often happens. I don't think you could lose your license, but you could definitely be sued by the supplement companies for doing that. It is an illegal business practice.
