Applying for CCRI in Spring 2017
I can certainly understand what you guys went thru! I'm 44 & yrs ago I went to nursing school in FL- good program then family health problems (& my husband divorced me) so I had to drop out. Then I finished my Associates & got my BS.. Then fast forward donated a kidney in Feb of this yr & my 2nd husband left me 1 wk b4 my donation...so then I decided I could go back to nursing school & moved to RI & here I am. I had to retake pre-req- nothing transferred & so grateful I got into nursing on my 1st try at CCRI! I came full circle & thankfully it all worked out!!! I'm so grateful! I need to retake everything & I will probably be only one in program who's been to nursing school b4 & done clinicals but it's been a long time so I'm very happy to just be able to complete it this time!! I understand what others have gone thru. :)

Applying for CCRI in Spring 2017
Ok thank you! Just want to be sure I don't miss something by the deadline. Looks to me that for our school yip just need- background online ONLY include: name, SSN, RI criminal & all state check. And vaccinations, dr to sign the forms & cpr cert. Pls advise if anyone sees a fingerprint or drug screening lab slip or other (i.e. Resume, transcript, past certifications, etc). Thanks! And congrats again!!

Applying for CCRI in Spring 2017
Has anyone purchased their background & health assessment check yet? I'm confused- I created an acct & pd but not sure if we need to get fingerprints or a drug screening. The company mentions both but I don't see the forms or directions for either of those?? Anyone know? Or is background check just an online thing? I printed forms to take to my dr & I know I need to do cpr. Guess drug test & fingerprints would need their own forms too??

Applying for CCRI in Spring 2017
Well I'm afraid there were too many well qualified applicants. I'd just like to get in... Either way I'm paying out of state tuition until March & no more classes I can take after next semester while waiting to get in.

What's the tie-breaker? Eng Comp or GPA. I can't determine bc think I've seen it written as both in the CCRI site.

Me too. I only have 179 points. So I've resigned to the fact that I likely won't get in this time. That way if I do get in ill be excited & not disappointed.

I wonder if admissions just told you Monday bc they don't want ppl calling all day today & tomorrow. I'm still hoping that we'll find out tomorrow like we were originally advised.

Has anyone looked to see if their degree evaluation was pulled this week? Under Students tab- pre-2016 and then pick previous evaluation & it will list AS Nursing - mine was pulled twice- last being Monday. The other pulls were for general education degree. Wondering if others had their AS nursing pulled too??

I guess. I'm in the same boat as you & have been stressed all night ever since we learned only ~150 spots.

Applying for CCRI in Spring 2017
Yeah, I asked in registration so I guess they didn't know the stats. But I was told that less people generally apply for the Spring & more schools were open this app period and therefore there should be MORE spots, but I guess they were wrong.

Applying for CCRI in Spring 2017
I know! Just went to school to ask & was told that MORE spots are open as opposed to last application period. Now I feel officially defeated!!

Any one know about the applicant pool for Providence? How many spots available for each campus vs ppl applying? Also I noticed a report was generated last wk for nursing no other reports were pulled since. Previous posts (previous app periods discussed this issue but not sure of the relevance). Can't wait for Thursday so I'll know- having hard time concentrating on my classes this semester bc of my nerves r/t this application process!

Yeah, I got a call today confirming everything w/ my app is correct & that it's just on my end that shows up w/o school choices. So I'm not going to stress about it anymore. :)
