  1. I just moved to Denver and have applied to a couple new graduate residency programs. I have interviews this week. Check out new graduate residency programs at both Healthone and Children's hospital Denver. Health one has 6 hospitals with open graduate positions all over Denver/Aurora. They also have new graduate cohorts for different units starting each month beginning in august to October.
  2. Thank you so much for the information Whiteorchid! I just keep looking at all the facilities opportunities and the closer to our move I will contact their new grad recruiters. Thanks for giving me some more facility names to look up! Congrats on your position!
  3. Hi! I am currently finishing my last semester of an Associate degree nursing program in Arizona when we received orders to move to Denver shortly after I graduate in May! I've done some research and believe it best that I take my NCLEX in Colorado (all though AZ and CO are both compact states). I also looked up nursing positions in the Denver-Aurora area and noticed the majority of them request or require a BSN. I started my BSN when I started my ADN program as part of a concurrent enrollment program but paused my BSN classes when I became pregnant again only 7 weeks after I had my first son during my first semester of school! I am currently on track to begin my BSN classes again 1-2 weeks after I pass my NCLEX. Are there any nurses, from Colorado or not, that can give me some advice on finding an RN career as a new ADN graduate in the midst of pursuing their BSN?? I feel it may be an uphill battle once we move and I know that I will be a great nurse if I can just find the position that will hire me.
  4. Hi! I want to further my nursing degree and obtain my DNP and my NP but my husband is in the military and we could most likely be stationed in a state, such as Florida or South Carolina, where NP's are under restricted practice. Could anyone tell me more about this and whether it is worth it to further my degree?
