  1. @Nursing12092020 hi I had to repeat him twice but that’s mainly because of me and 2 other students had to appeal because we were told we failed med surg 2 but found out there were extra points given out to specific students that originally should have failed; therefore we started 206/207 a month late and during the Summer the semester was 12 weeks vs the full 16weeks because he was going to his country meaning we (the 3 that started late) had him for 8 weeks. He said if I would have started from the beginning with Everyone (which wasn’t my choice) I would have passed. I am going to be honest the classes are extremely challenging just pay attention and do every assignment he says cause it counts. Also the exit exams are not how you are used to(meaning if you fail and repeat that they use whatever score you get to add to the percent) he grades them as pass or fail so I you don’t meet the minimum score it’s a fail meaning you fail the class, unless the rules changed. But only advice I can give is study and pay attention. Good luck.
  2. @Eunice0727 I graduated last year from Belleville campus. But my best friend still attends I heard it’s changed so much and it’s very disorganized since originally Nursing faculty has left and now due to pandemic I heard they’re pushing graduation dates an extra semester since they’re only offering limited class with no lab/clinical. @Uniquenurse10 thought to let y’all know
  3. @Uniquenurse10 hey I too paid out of pocket because it was my second degree I finished in December. Students do get hired, actually a handful of my classmates got hired for Hackensack meridian and RWJBarnabas to name the few. In regards of BSN no one has started that I know but I do know they have RN to BSN programs so what that means since you will have your RN you will then take a couple of classes to receive your BSN and possibly less if you have bachelors in other degree since some courses are bachelor level. There’s a ton of online RN-BSN programs chamberlain is one that you can earn in 3 semesters. Hope I was able to help and good luck!
  4. Idk that much of jc campus but we all say they treat that campus better it’s more like real college if that makes any sense I think some of their clinicals are all the hospitals over there..Belleville depending on which class the hospitals vary from Newark Montclair Paramus etc.
  5. I’m at the Belleville campus which is where Is the new faculty. There’s some cons to it but then it probably was because of the faculty before or curriculum so would probably change. Tip- study a lot and prepare to say bye to your social life until you’re out.
  6. Thank you. It’s ok but it has been a mess since I was there but now this semester they got a new chairperson, new dean, new instructors and actually new curriculum they removed soooo many classes which I wish they would’ve done from the get (about 4 classes or so) which could have save money especially when paying out of pocket. And no once you finish you can go to a school that has RN to BSN. It’s okay for all the questions I wish I had someone to answer mine. Now my best friend attends there on her 3rd semester.
  7. Hey I actually finish this December. They are accredited since March/April of this year.
  8. @bariki sorry just saw this! I got my BA at NJCU so took most of my pre requisite there and some at the county college.
  9. Yes, check your email as well. They send acceptance letter through there and then send formal letter through mail. That's the only days the classes are I believe for nutrition & intro to Nursing...
  10. Yes I was accepted. I have a&p2 tues/thurs 9-11am...nutrition tues 2:15-5:15pm...intro to nursing Wednesday 1-4pm...and tuition is about 8k each semester if you're full time if you're able to get financial aid then it might cover most..unfortunately I have to pay out of pocket since I don't get financial aid since I already have a Bachelors. Did you have your interview yet and how did it go.
  11. @bariki when do you have your interview? I got accepted! I go next week to do financial aid & my schedule..most likely for spring I'll be taking intro to Nursing ..nutrition...& a&p2..& where did u get book to prepare for Nursing 101?
  12. @donutball could you send me information about the New Grad Orientation program for holy name? Thank you
  13. Hey so glad I found this post. I'm planning on applying to hopefully start January as well. I take my HESI in 2weeks! Were you able to get any information from the inside experience. What does the schedule look like I've taken al of my science courses already since I have a BA in psych but they said they only accept 21 credits so I'm going to have to retake courses even though I already have taken them..bummer..so probably nutrition and maybe algebra since I haven't taken it since 2008..& I think intro to nursing.. which classes are you registered for and the times so I can get an idea of the hours. Sorry for all the questions.
  14. Hey @jerseynurse25 I was wondering if you attended Eastern International College in Belleville. If so, how was the program? Did you feel well prepared for the NCLEX? How soon did you find a job and where if you don't mind me asking? Also where are the clinicals? Sorry for all the questions, I am thinking about applying myself. Thank you, Unique
  15. Tell me about it @dianaju I have been stressing since!
