  1. HELLO! I've worked as a Nursing Asst in the NICU & Psychiatric Unit. I'm changing my career, but I've decided against nursing school (personal oreference). I plan on doing the Surg Tech or Rad Tech Program. (Rad Tech Program will take one year longer and is more competitive). I have a strong stomach, I'm used to providing patient care, and being on my feet for long periods of time, but I don't have super thick-skin and I've heard surgeons can be brutal. I wAnt to hear personal experiences from those who have worked in the OR! I'm hoping this will help me in my decision.
  2. Lots of great information. Thank you!
  3. I have heard of some MA's in my area starting at the same as an LPN.
  4. I appreciate your response. I do know the difference between the two, however I was asking which career or degree people have chosen, and why.
  5. Why did you decide to become a Medical Assistant or LPN? Where do you work? (Hospital, Home Healthcare, Nursing Home, Doctor's Office, etc) Does one make more money than the other?
