Please read my post carefully, because there me be something in there that you may have misunderstood, or overlooked.

Sorry to shock you, but I have no doubt that they are all suckers.. I just came back from a large school library and read half-a-dozen classified section of various newspapers with large circulation, and I found none that is looking for BSN, MSN, PhD nurses, not one, not even part-time nurses. One of my friend is a nurse. She came home one day yelling and screaming after she took her problematic Toyota car to an auto mechanic shop. She explains to her husband that the mechanic cheated her and she fell for his trap. Why are we nurses so vulnerable to cheaters and deceivers? First our husbands cheated us and we did not know that, then the auto mechanic cheated us and we did not know that either until it's too late, after we sign the dotted line, and then now we are deceived by schools. That was the reason why in my earlier post I ask, are BSN nurses smarter than ADN nurses?.. God gave us blond hair, blue eyes, skinny body, beautiful look, or smart brain when we were born. It's all in our DNA. No amount of education, BSN, MSN, PhD is going to change that, not even moderate change. Let us just be happy with what we have. This world is full of deceivers who prey on suckers like me . Do not let those deceivers deceive us. Beware of colleges and universities. What say you?

Let us move on to a different topic. Do you think the demand for BSN, MSN, PhD nurses are created by the market, or by the schools? I think the nurses should be left alone to enjoy their hard earned money and not be deceived by the schools when there no or little demand for BSN, MSN, or PhD nurses. What do you think?

What is your definition of a professional, a nurse with a BSN or MSN degree? I think the public has been deceived long enough and it is time to stop deceiving the public. It is unethical to deliberately deceive the nurses. Nurses work hard for their money. They should be allowed to save their money for their children and for themselves. They should not be deceived by greedy schools.

I think we should move on to a different thread/topic. The new topic that I recently posted is this. Do you think the demand for BSN, MSN, PhD nurses is created by the market, or by the schools and their media? The public must know about this so they will longer be deceived by the deceivers.

The word has spread among nurses with BSN degrees that they are more educated and smarter than diploma or ADN nurses. Is that true? Is there any research to support that? In my view, "smart thinking" is a talent that we get from God. No amount of education that can make us a "smart thinker" unless God has given us that talent since we were born. So, what do you think?

Madras, your comments remind me to that 1/2 hour weekly TV comedy show called "Get Smart". Don Adams (Mr. Smart) fell on his back and could not get up. He asked Hyme, his robot partner, to help him and give him "a hand". Hyme, the robot partner and a human being, broke his hand from his wrist, and gave it to Mr. Smart. That's where I learned about the nature of humans. They are amazingly stupid! That's why doctors screamed at them..

Esmel, your assessment of the problem, and your comments about schools amazed me, and some others as well. You are right. We have just gone through the housing market crisis. The next crisis will be defaulted student loans. And who is to blame? The schools and us, the students, who are feeding their greed for money. Who else can we blame for the pending crisis? Many years ago there are huge demands for PA and NP. Hospitals, physicians and clinics are hiring them right after they graduate. Colleges and universities see this as an opportunity to make money. And so they open new schools to attract students into their PA and NP programs. And now, a decade or so later, the supply of NP and PA exceeds what the market needs. The greedy schools create the demand for more PA, NP, BSN, MSN, PhD, and so forth, and not the market. The market is over-saturated with these specialties. And if they are not now, they will be soon. I know of a few PAs who recently graduated from school who have to travel 60 miles from where they live to find work. Everybody wants to get BSN, MSN, PhD and take out huge student loans to pay for their education and feed the money hungry schools, unless they are the children of Mitt Romney or Donald Trump who don't need student loans. Where is this madness going to take us to? Again, you are right, instead of requiring nurses to go back to school, they would best benefit by certification in their field of specialty.

My point is that employers prefer cheap labor. If they can get cheap labor from the Philippines, what prevents them from importing cheap labor from Thailand and the Philippines? 15 or 20 years ago the cost of labor is not a big factor. Today, Medicare is getting poorer and poorer every year. And soon they run out of money. Businesses are leaving the mainland USA for cheap labor overseas.

The problem is not with the website. The problem is with the Academic Advisors. They think they are gods; their way or the highway.. They give you no options. Do what they tell you to do, or jump off a high cliff with no parachute.

I don't think so, unless these MSN degreed nurses are willing to accept minimal wages like AD nurses. On the floor, they both empty similar bedpans. Why would they pay more, especially when Medicare reimbursement is going down the drain.. It simply does not make sense! In fact, I heard that there is legislation pending in Congress to import cheap nurses from overseas. Now, when you see these foreign nurses working next to you, then would you believe me that a BSN, MSN, PhD is a waste of time and money? Beware of RN-BSN programs. They are out there to empty your pockets.

If you ask Mitt Romney, $12,000.00 is very cheap. The same goes for Donald Trump..

How can you do a thorough research to determine whether they are liars or not? I told you they don't mean what they say, and they have no intention of keeping their promises..

Many years ago when you enroll in a school it has an office to help graduates find a job. The person who works in that office is on the phone all day making calls everywhere. Where are these schools now? Out of sight, out of mind?

Have you noticed that RN-BSN online programs are growing like mushrooms? Have you ever wondered why? I have talked with some AD nurses and they all said that working on the floor is hard work, like a slave. And they want to get off the floor and sit in a comfortable office. They fear that one day they cannot get up after they squat down to pick up a piece of dressing dropped on the floor. Colleges and universities know very well about the fear of growing old that most nurses have. The fear that one day they no longer have the strength that they have when they are 25 years old to lift patients on their shoulders. And so they offer these programs to AD nurses but with no guarantee that they can ever find a job after they graduate. The colleges and universities know that it is not easy to find a job. There is a surplus of nurses, and no demand for them except in the jungles if they choose to work there. But they continue to spend billions of dollars to trap AD nurses in their BSN, MSN, PhD programs as if there's plenty of jobs for everyone after he/she graduates. They won't tell students the truth! To them, the truth is money! Beware of colleges and universities.
