  1. Hey! I was bummed too but it's all good!! LIU here we come :) I'm pretty psyched to begin in June and I hear this is a tough program too but pretty good like Kimberly said with clinicals. And thanks about the HESI -- you did great, too!! I'm really excited to start too!! Can't wait to see what this year is going to hold for us. Kimberly and I are going to meet in front of the Health Science Building at 9:50ish if you'd like to join us; this way we won't feel so awkward in a big group of people we won't know lol. I posted my email earlier so feel free to email! My name is Senada :)
  2. Yaaayyy! Sounds awesome :) :) I just did - Tuesday at 10:00 am. This might sound weird since we don't know each other but do you want to meet up at LIU on Tuesday? This way, we at least kind of know each other and don't feel so awkward in a big room full of people lol? My email is [email protected]
  3. Yeah same here! I have a great financial package which is definitely what I need right now. I would love to ideally get a job at NSLIJ. I did my internship there in the PICU - it was amazing. I absolutely loved it. That's great to hear that LIU has a ton of clinicals -- I think that's what will prepare us best for actual work in the field.
  4. Yeah exactly! A lot of people often don't get into any programs so we should be grateful lol. It's all good! Are you going to commit to LIU now? I had applied to NYU as well but decided I'm not going to wait for a response from them because they're way too expensive for me anyway.
  5. Yes, I did call them and they said they mailed out the decision on April 9th. I received it today actually and was not accepted unfortunately Very upset but I'll be going to LIU then! Still happy to be a part of one program and pretty excited to start in June!
  6. Did you sign up for a registration date with LIU? If so, what date did you register for?
  7. Hey! I haven't heard back from Pace yet either... and my nerves are getting wracked!! I just want an answer I did get into LIU's program though which I'm trying to hold out on until I hear from Pace but will attend if I don't get into Pace. I'm really nervous. I run to apartment to see if there's ever any mail waiting for me. Let me know if you get any responses! Good luck!
  8. Thanks! I used the HESI practice book they recommended on LIU's website as well lol. I feel like LIU is more disorganized than Pace unfortunately but I am still strongly considering going, especially if I don't get accepted into Pace. I had an interview on February 21 (or 24th) - somewhere around that time. They told us that there would be another interview date on march 24th and that only 64 students would be accepted into the program. My status has always said "submitted" - never in review or anything like that, which is making me really nervous now. I am going to call them first thing in the morning! Thanks!
  9. Hey! I am in the same boat as you and Zmymy! I applied and got accepted into LIU's accelerated program and took the HESI on Friday and got a 94 in each portion of the exam. How did you guys register for the orientation day at LIU? Do you guys plan on making a deposit without having heard back from Pace yet? I'm really nervous - I checked my application on Pace's website and it just says "Submitted" for me -- There's no "decison made" marked and that has me really worried!! I liked Pace as well and my interview was back in February. It's my first choice and I'm squirming around waiting for an answer... Very anxious! Good luck! Let me know if you get into Pace!
