  1. Hi. I go to north as well. All the information you will need will be uploaded on d2l once the classes start. I recommend you print everything at once and have it with you... during campus lab days they expect you to have it. The class is the one the orientation was in. I think it's 221. Don't quote me(: good luck! I would get a head start and read the vital signs chapter. It's the first one you will have in lecture and lab. The best advice I could give is always read the chapter before the class. They're about 30 pages and just every day read. Even if it's 10 pages only. You will be always on top of things instead of catching up (:
  2. Edit*** I'm very aware a lot or people don't pass; Hence my first post stating the class got smaller. Do study for EVERYTHING. If it's too easy you probably didn't study enough. My point was that each math test >>I've had so far
  3. No problem. A lot of it is very basic don't stress out over it. Nothing you have to study for. The math teacher will drill it into your head enough ?
  4. when you begin you take a math course that's about a month and you take a test if you don't pass then you have one more chance. All other classes you take a test the first week and you have another chance if you don't pass. Not too hard. They teach you how to do everything but the anxiety to pass is the worse!
  5. In which class? Each class has a math test when it begins. And if you don't pass you can't continue.
  6. It's not hard just only 10 questions and can only get one wrong. Little details and one thing can mess up the whole problem ex:if you don't round it right. But it's dealing with meds. so I see why it's so important!
  7. Looks like our class got a lot smaller today after the 2nd math test ?
  8. No prob. Any other questions for north just ask away. It's nothing like they say it is in orientation. Very laid back they don't sweat the small stuff as long as you get the main idea and show understanding.
  9. Process 2 here I come!!! ??☺️??
  10. Professor "fola" adeagbo olafolaka or something like that lol. for process 1&2 Math- Melanie Gulliver-King Pharm- Dr. Robert K. Lab- choose after you meet them in person. the lab you picked plays no part in what hospital or teacher you get.
  11. Whoa! So I thought I would be able to work more after the process classes. Jeeeeeez lol. Thanks for the heads up!
  12. Right now we have 2 days off. I'm not sure how it will be once we go into specialties. You're usually I'm school for more than just the classes you take. You have to complete lab hours before you can do your return demo. We have a return demo for process 2. Everything after that is a mystery lol
  13. some classes do not run the whole mini semester. This is how it started Monday- process 1 lecture 9-12 Pharm 5:15-7:15(whole semester thru dec) Tue or wed clinical 7:30-5ish at school or 6:30-6:30 hospital Thursday- Math either 8-12 or 1-5 or Friday 1-5 Friday- process 1 lecture 9-12 Hope that helps. You always have something going on but it's not overwhelming as long as you know every day you have to make the most of your time. Either read, study or read lol We take our process one final on Monday and then next is process 2 on the 21st
  14. He's really against it now. Something must of happened where someone used something he said against him. He's always telling stories so I could see that happening lol
  15. At north we are allowed to for process but not pharm or math. Depends on the teacher and their preference
  16. Hey hey! I survived !
  17. Hi I go to North. Honestly I can't complain. Nothing like the horror stories you hear. Stay on top of your reading and you're fine. The chapters are not that long. I read before school started and so far there's been very little I've had to read additionally. Dress code, make up, jewelry has not been enforced. Only mentioned for hospital days. I hear the stories and I am very happy with my decision to go to north.
  18. Hi it isn't a prereq but the advisors recommend you do it before you start the program. While in the program there are classes you cannot start if you did not already take micro. And honestly there is too much going on for you to try to take on more classes while in the program. That was a main reason a lot of people differed their seat this past semester. Hope that helps
  19. Am I the only one that feels like I haven't even slept lol. Italia got into my head. After a longgggg day I found energy for another 3 hours of studying. ????
  20. Very nice to meet some of my north people today! So far so good! I love Folas energy and I believe were going to be okay(; I think Dr. K is pretty cool too. Seems very to the point just don't waste his time or talk. Lol 12 hours of orientation tomorrow should be fun...... -__- lol
  21. Nope I'm going to north just working part time.
  22. I believe I met you at the book store when we were buying the uniforms right ? Lol.
  23. I believe of the syllabus it said room 224
  24. North people- anyone have any idea which books and supplies to bring? We haven't been informed of anything and I believe tomorrow is just an orientation day. I was thinking the fundamentals book. But that's I could really see us getting into on the first day until we have further directions.
  25. Same here. I found a reading list but seems out of order. I have started reading the critical thinking chapter just to familiarize myself with the format of the questions. And now starting the physical and nursing assessments. can anyone give us a list that goes in sequence order of what we will be reading?
