Hello all! I applied to the ED and Medical-Surgical floor. I attended a nursing program out of state and moved back home to CA following graduation. I've been working as a clinical research assistant at a med-tech company while waiting to start a new graduate residency program. UCLA is my first choice so I'm hoping we all hear back soon. nac805, Did you begin another application with a different email? I started another application when I had technical problems submitting my main application. The problem was fixed, but since I did not submit the back-up application, I'm receiving those emails on that account. If not, I would check with the Admissions Office to make sure they have received all transcripts.

Homelife, According to Duke's website, the tuition is $18,332 per semester. It will probably come out to around $24,000 if you include living and other expenses. Duke is a great school with an exceptional Nursing program. I love that they have a small faculty-to-student ratio, which will give students more individual attention. Plus, Duke's medical facilities will provide many unique research opportunities. I've visited North Carolina and Duke and feel in love with the lifestyle and community. Anixon, We moved to Abu Dhabi because my husband was offered a great job opportunity. I've been volunteering at a hospital here since August. But, we're excited about moving back and starting different career paths.

Anixon, I know! Glad to be moving back to the States. That's great that your husband is open to moving closer to Duke. My family (husband and two young children) would have to relocate to North Carolina. We're all very excited about this possibility. I also have five institutions on my application. But, I feel that this is not out of the norm. Since I was living abroad, I took my prerequisite courses at a couple of different colleges. All we can do now is breathe and wait patiently.

Hello everyone, My file is currently prepared for faculty review, since my last transcript will be arriving to Duke today. I was looking forward to interviews, but I'm also excited to learn admission decisions earlier. Where is everyone from? I'm currently in Abu Dhabi, but will be moving back to California at the end of next week.

Anixon, I did not take the GRE. My undergraduate GPA is over a 3.4. I'm hoping we hear back before August. I'm already anxious and excited!

Anixon, I know! Hopefully more applicants will join this discussion soon. I'm interested to know when we will hear back on admission decisions.

Anixon, Duke is my first choice. I've started a couple of other applications (George Washington and Georgetown), which are due in a couple of months. However, I am only applying to ABSN programs. Looking forward to keeping in touch during this process.

Anixon, I'm not sure. However, I know that there have been some changes made to the application process. From what I understand, there will be no interviews. You will be invited to Duke Days if you are admitted to the program. I'm excited about admission decisions!

Since your application has been started, I believe the deadline to submit the application has been extended until June 13th. If supporting documents are received by Duke no later than June 20th, your application will be reviewed. Good luck!

Anyone else applying to Duke's ABSN program for Spring 2015? As we're approaching the application deadline, I thought it would be great to get a conversation started. If anyone is currently in the program, I would love to hear your thoughts about the program as well.
