  1. Hey guys I wanted to give you all a quick update. Yes I did apply for the residency program and I got into the program. The main reason I wanted to be in the program was because of the experienced that it provided because I already had most of the certifications (you have to take your PALS, BLS, ACLS again even if you already have them). They were 5 of us in the program and from my understanding they will only be doing groups of 5 from now on. At the end of the 12 weeks all of us got a job offer. Chances are if you get accepted in the program you will get hired because they have a really high turnover rate. Out of the 5 of us 3 left and I think 2 are still working there (did not keep in touch with them). I am glad that I did the ER residency program because I discover that I absolutely love the ER setting, I love the fact that as an ER nurse I have more freedom, and I love the fact that I do not have to deal with the same pain in the ass patients. To be an ER nurse you have to have a thick skin because anything can walk into the door, and you have to deal with everything. I am currently an ER Nurse at an another facility and I absolutely love it. I love the team work, I love the fact that the nurses are helping each other out and my patient ratio is awesome (4:1), and I don't get treated like an idiot if I don't know something......If you want to apply go for it because if you can make it at Trinitas you can make it ANYWHERE.
  2. They charge us, that how bad things are getting he in New Jersey....and thanks
  3. Yes, it is with a hospital and no we will not get paid.
  4. Has anyone applied to the Trinitas ER residency program starting next year? -12 weeks clinical and classroom time -will be certified in glucometer, phlebotomy, ACLS, PALS -cost $3200 for Trinitas graduates and $3700 for other graduates.
