Hi everyone! Orientation is a week away! Is everyone excited? I'm excited and nervous!

Is anyone else applying for a loan for school? Not a federal loan but one through a private lender? Is anyone running into any issues with lenders? PNC is apparently the ONLY lender that works with Roxborough.

I'm going to wait and see. My friend is at Rox now (almost done her first year!) and she just uses a regular back back. She said everyone is different. She did recommend getting binders!! The bigger ones that can hold more papers, and a daily planner! Pens, highlighters, index cards etcetera.

Yes. I figure it's just going to be easier to do everything through them. I didn't get dates yet.

I have the Littmann lightweight II S.E. Stethoscope, hopefully I can use it lol I don't see why not.

Hi Allie! I will check when I get home today. I bought it at a scrub store in NE Philadelphia and it was pretty reasonably priced for a Littmann.

I love my Littmann! I just bought a basic stethoscope, I used it when I worked CNA work on a med surg unit. I like it, it was easy to use and it worked! I just hope I can use it for clinical.

Yeah I would say pretty true to fit. They feel heavy though not like regular scrubs. The top and lab coat especially feel like we're gonna be hot wearing them.

I have a stethoscope from work, $45 doesn't seem bad at all! I think my Littmann was about $70. I haven't bought shoes yet, I might wait until they tell us specifically what kind of shoes for clinical. I think the want all white non skid sneakers. New balance has nice ones.

2 shirts, 1 lab coat, 1 name tag was $103.

Went and got my uniforms ordered! :) they are no longer embroider in our names but giving us name tags. $10 each just a heads up I don't know if anyone said that yet. They told me 3 weeks they'd be ready.

Getting my uniforms tomorrow!! Getting really excited!

Apparently the school has a VERY strict no social media police. Meaning it's a good idea but very frowned upon by the school. My friend goes there now and said they're even strict about even being out in your clinical uniform.
