  1. Will working in Endoscopy at a hospital kill my chance at ever becoming a cath lab nurse?

    Hi! I have 6 years of tele experience in PCU, cardiac/stroke unit, and intermediate surgical ICU (critical care) settings (past 2 year in the ISICU). I have a few specialties that I’d like to work in my lifetime. Cath lab is one of them. 2 questions- 1) do I have the qualifications to get hired for cath lab? If not, what would get me there? 2) would taking an Endoscopy job in a center city hospital make me less desirable for other unit such as cath lab, or helpful since I’d learn sedation administration?
