Hello. I am a new grad and am having trouble grasping what rate to set pumps at when admisinstering intravenous fluids. For example, when administering albumin or IV antibiotics how do you know what rate to set it at? My preceptor has tried to show me and help me do the math, but for some reason it is not sticking in my head. Can anyone explain this to make it easier? So if I have an antibiotic that is 50ml to infuse over 30min how fast do I set the pump at? I realize this is probably a really stupid question, but I want to make sure I understand it completely. Please if anyone has any tips or tricks on IV administration, please let me know. Thank you.

Thanks for the ideas.... I just chose the fire department because we live in a small community. It is ran by volunteers. When we have community functions it usually involves the fire department, so I thought maybe by reaching out them I could reach the whole community.

Helloo everybody, I am really in need of some help on a project I have to do for class. We are sapposed to pick a group in the community and teach them something valuable. I have picked the volunteer fire department that is close to me, but I am having a hard time figuring out what the topic should be? I am trying to relate nursing and firefighting?? Any suggestions?

Hello everyone. I am new to this site, but I see very useful posts to it all the time so I thought I would try it. Well my question is... What would be a good evidence based practice research topic be? Some of our examples were, hand sanitizer vs washing with soap and water, or flushing central catheters with heparin vs saline... I have been searching for a while now and seeing what articles are out there but I really am drawing a blank. Any suggestions? Thank you!
