Mohawk college Bridging to BScN
You know what my brother did it part time and graduated a year ago. Unless he lied to me about his workload. If they won't let me do it PT then I guess someone from waitlist will be very happy. Im having a my first baby in July. Ft is just not an option.

Yes it does. It clearly states you are allowed 6 years to complete the program. My brother did it part time too there :)

Nursing lanyard
I am getting so frustrated with the internet atm. I recently got hired at my first job and thought it would be a good idea to get myself a nice lanyard to hold my pins and keys. BUT i really wanted one that says either NURSE or NURSING. Anyone know of place to get it at without buying them in bulk of 100? I looked on ebay too and its a bummer.

An idea for consolidation and nurse initiative
In the end all I care about is for me to have a job... Anything... You know. The bonus would be to find what I'd truly enjoy. I don't really care what city I live. I just want my hubby to find a job and I though that moving out of Niagara would be a smart move. He has two university degrees and no luck for him still. It's a shame. I thought of nipissing as its online and flexible. I could work and study 2 courses a semester which is very doable. I shall browse other option but since I have 68 in one of my classes I may not be able to apply everywhere. Despite my avarage 80+ , many schools wants each course not less than 70.

An idea for consolidation and nurse initiative
Nippising offers modified online 5 years program and has specific list of partners. To be accepted I would need a letter from my employer stating they will support me in regards to placement and what not. One of my professors said that since we have more students they usual, they encourage students to look outside of the region to get consolidation on floors they desire.

An idea for consolidation and nurse initiative
It's dissapointing to see that new nurse initiative is not so widely available.

I'm not Into that crazy things you describe Daisy but I know where you are coming from. Thank you for the input ladies. I was looking at Richmond hill hospital or Joseph brant... I need a place that supports rpn to rn transition at nippising university so I'm not sure doctors office would work. Oh well will see how it goes. Thank you

An idea for consolidation and nurse initiative
I'm a Rpn student from Niagara region. In about 4 month I'll have to make a decision on where to consolidate. Out program has a high amount of students and it has been said by the faculty that some will not consolidate where they would like to. So since my husban has difficulty finding a job in business analysis I thought that maybe we should just move elsewhere. It would be ideal to get a new nurse initiative opportunity at the place I consolidate and hopefully a job later on. Do you guys know base on your experience, what region/hospital would be best to try that journey?? Hamiton? Oakville? I'll take any suggestion and do my research! Thanks for reading

Constipation care plan
I am a first year nursing student and have my clinical placement at LTC facitliy. Can anyone tell me if i am on the right truck? My supervisor is very detail oriented so I want to make sure it looks good. My resources are pretty limited ex. fiber diet. this is what i came up with Constipation r/t diverticular disease of intestine, chronic kidney failure aeb type 1, small amount of hard stool, insufficient physical activity, wheelchair dependent, severe obesity (BMI 40.7), hypoactive bowel sound x 4 goal: The client will report a relief from constipation and pass type 2-4 stool (Bristol Stool Chart) by Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012. Interventions: The nursing student will Assist the client with passive ROM flexion and extension of knee. Assist the client with active and passive ROM flexion, extension of fingers, wrist, elbow, shoulder and supination and pronation of the forearm. 5 repetitions for each exercise. 15 minutes total. For my second intervention I wanted to put The nurse will auscultate bowel sounds x 4, each for full 5 minutes if suspected absent sounds. I cannot encourage more fluid as is because of pitting edema on his legs. Thank you for any info!!

Nursing classmate with add
Thank you! She is pretty good when studying and agrees to what should by studying. I am not afraid of failing while studying with her. She always listen to my suggestions as of what to study. also helps. Idk whenever I start asking additiTional question i.e we study anatomy and I start talking about clinical ( that exam would be on the same day) she says "one thing at the time"!! I got used to it. But I feel I have to watch out what and when I talk.

Nursing classmate with add
Hey everybody I'm almost done with my first semester in PN program and there are exams next week. Hopefully everything will go nice and smooth. There is question I would like to ask. I have this friend I sometimes study for exams with. Indeed I found it helpful at some point. But she has ADD and I sometimes find it hard to communicate with her. Just let's look at how people interact having dialog etc , with her is "don't interrupt, I'm not finished", "I'm talking right now". Puts the hand in front of my face aka talk to the hand. I mean perhaps I'm overreacting but whenever I talk with other people the conversation is totally different. I'm sure it's not the matter of her being the age of my mom but add itself. How can I deal with this? Should I just walk away? I'm a very sensitive person. I admit that I'm very hyper and I do love to multitask. I appreciate all of the insides, Alusiq
