  1. Yes, I believe that is where the problem was. The partnership/online program is for first time BSN students, and it not the bridge program they offer. But I still appreciate the info!
  2. Not done yet, I appreciate your help, but I have to say there must have been some confusion on one of our parts. My post was asking about getting into the online partnership program with UTA. And the job section was asking about getting a job before entering the program for tuition reimbursements and such. I appreciate the info, though.
  3. University of Texas at Arlington.
  4. I'm aware that there have been some threads about this, but most of them were old or a lot of heavy reading. I was just wondering a few things about this program, so anyone who has done it or applied should be more than enough to answer them. I was reading that the online partnership program was very easy to get in to. Is this true? Like some people had said 3.0 GPAs and 75's on HESI. I feel like this can't be true, but I wouldn't complain if it was. Also, how difficult is it to get a job at these hospitals beforehand? Is it rather competitive for the benefits and such? And finally, how lenient is UTA about the prereqs? For example: I see that I have to take art theory, but I was wondering if I could substitute it for a dance class I have already taken or something? Anything would be great. Thanks
  5. I have a few classes to take, anatomy I and II, stats , nutrition... things like that. I just don't think I have enough A's for my science pre reqs, so that's why I'm interested in retaking them. I'm hoping to gain admittance to TWU's nursing school, but since I can't take anatomy until the upcoming spring, I won't be able to apply until next spring anyways. I know my GPA needs to be as high as possible for TWU..
  6. I've decided to transfer from a four year university to a community college to finish my prereqs, and I was wondering if retaking some classes would be a good idea. My four year university is a well known pre-med school, so the science classes I've taken here were very hard. For example, BIO I and II I received B's in...as most of my classmates failed. Should I consider taking these classes again? Will an A really be that much better than a B?
  7. I am a current junior at Baylor University in Waco, and I just changed my major to pre-nursing. I luckily was biology beforehand, and have already finished a lot of the credits. However, it has come to my attention that most nursing schools I will be applying to (TWU, Baylor, MSU) do not usually regard where you get the credit from, as long as you finish the prerequisites. I'm considering dropping out from Baylor and finishing my prereqs at a community college. Any advice as to if this would be a good idea? I guess reading that most nursing schools accept higher gpas from community colleges really made me consider if Baylor was still the best option for me. Thanks, Chris
