  1. I did ask the same question. Shortly after I started working last year we went "back" to paper flow sheets while the hospital designed their own vfs. I got used to the paper flow sheets and loved them!. Unfortunately the new vfs went live about 2 weeks ago. Now im looking for something just for my hourly documentation, without really having to double document on paper, yet to keep me organized to document what needs to go in hourly. thanks for the response
  2. My hospital recently went from paper flow sheets to online. I was wondering if anyone had and templates for organizing their hourly documentation? Hourly we have to input vs, intake output, iv fluids, etc Any documentation templates would be appreciated!
  3. I am an RN who is interested in volunteering abroad and was looking to get advice from people that have done this before. Also, there are so many companies when you google, I'm looking for advice on who to work with!
  4. I have my bachelors degree in Psych and diploma in Nursing. I am currently RN working in an ICU. I am thinking of going back to school and wanted to see people opinions. I feel it would be more worthwile for me to go RN to MSN since I already have a bachelors. Also, was wondering if I do that what programs/schools people recommend? I am thinking online..
  5. So I am looking into doing army/navy nursing. I am currently a RN working in an ICU. I am 31 years old and have 1 yr experience. I have no children, no home, or anything that ties me down where I am. I am looking for the payback of loans and to try something new and get out there in the world. I love the ICU but also like trauma. I love a fast paced environment. My favorite days at work are when we have a crazy code! I make about 30/hr right now and have about 30k in school loans. I have a BA in psychology, and diploma for nursing. Im interested to get feeback as to 1. army vs. navy 2. money, loan repayment, etc...not just in the first years but like 5 years in 3. what the nursing is like? what you see, what a normal day to day is, etc? 4. opportunities for advancement, further education? 5. what basic is like? i am slightly overweight and havent worked out in like 2 years....many of you know the night shift life! I am athletic (or was back in the day atleast) so know if i put my mind to it I could get in shape without problem. 6. anything else you may have to share
  6. I am a new grad and workin in the ICU. I have tried various ways of taking / giving report and haven't found a way that really works for me yet. It's like I am jumping all around or forgetting stuff. Also at times I feel I am giving way too much or way to little report. This is both for shift report and when transferring a pt. Does anyone have any templates they use that they could pass on??!! Thanks in advance!
  7. This is very helpful! Thanks so much!!

  11. I am taking my Nclex in 2 days and I am starting to freak out. I have done all the Saunders, Kaplan, ATI, etc....questions. I only get about 55% though. I have been reading posts and know it's all priortity, delegation, etc..... just didn't know if anyone out there that has recently taken it has some specific tips, things that may help me answer questions, topics or meds that you had? Any responses will be HELPFUL!!! Thanks!!!
