How did your private info get sent out?

Hey look... it's the 7th and still no deposit. I am so shocked... I guess the students that use banks that were bailed out got there deposits... Just an interesting thing I noticed... sigh....

11/5/10 - Still no deposit. The 7th is on Sunday. So much for the "dead line." The welcome packet says not to call about it till the 14th...

Nov. 2nd, still no money

There is a threshold. I have 5 children. So, my threshold is much higher. Although, I don't know what it is. It seemed high when I saw the chart. It showed what income you could make and still have a zero for a contribution. It was based on number of dependence, etc. BUT, you are still taxed on the full amount. I guess, based on Akesa's phone call, that the stipend is counted like work study. Counts as income for next years fasfa and is part of our COA.... does seem like a double whammy...

It is taxed as income since there is a contract of service (two years at a hospital) attached to it. So, it will be counted as income (this year) on your fasfa for next year... This is how I understand it and the only way that would be legal.

Got my packet. I live in Washington. Still no money. The Stipend should not count against your COA. It is paid directly to you and does not go through the financial aid office.
