  1. No worries, once you are registered they send you a username and password so you have access to student services that way. Through there you can pay by credit card (hello rewards miles!) or learn how to send a check. You also get access to your own college email and their version of Blackboard where your class is held. Super easy and all online once you get past the registration part. Good luck!
  2. Hi J-, The application is super quick and I just faxed it to the college. I got an email back the next day saying I was enrolled. The proof of residency took a bit longer as I had to go to get it notarized and go to City Hall. Their instructions for that are very specific so read carefully! If you don't do it right they will charge you as an out of state student (2x the normal price!). Go to this page and it will give you all the info you need: http://www.cayuga-cc.edu/academics/online_learning/ I just started the class last week and I like it, but it's only a month long so you really have to do about 2 chapters a week which involve a written assignment, a quiz, and some discussions. Best of luck!
  3. Hi Scott, thanks for the rundown! Did you get a chance to talk to a fin aid person? If so, were they helpful?
  4. Hi, sorry I forgot to post stats. I had an undergrad GPA of 3.6, all A's and B's for prereqs. No hospital experience, but other volunteer activities. I've also worked in health policy for the past 5 years and am published. PS, got my financial aid notice today, they're only offering $23k when I know I'll probably need $10k more. I guess I better go scholarship diving. What are other people doing for funds?
  5. Hey everyone, I feel bad posting this when everyone feels a little down about the process now, but I got in!!!! I got the email a few minutes ago. Keep your heads up, I was certainly not expecting to hear back today as I had to re-send them my transcripts this week b/c they lost 2 of my major ones :/ Good luck to you all! Thanks for all the support over the past few months!
  6. UGH!! I am so frustrated! I submitted my app in JANUARY and just received an email today saying they need TWO of my transcripts. I've called before and was told they had everything and to just wait, why is this happening now? On the plus side, I hope they are looking at my application now and maybe I'll hear back soon :)
  7. Hi Aspiring, I'm taking Nutrition this summer online at Cayuga CC. Never heard of it before, found it on SUNY's online class finder. It's a full 3 credit class that lasts a month and is only $400!! I even checked with NYU to see if they would accept it, and they do. For the form all you have to do is print and fill it out, then get it notarized (banks, tax prep places, real estate offices can do it), and then go to City Hall to get it approved. They have a list of items you should bring with you to City Hall to prove your residency (I used my drivers licence and my 2009 taxes). This page should give you more info: http://www.cayuga-cc.edu/admissions/registration.php Good luck!
  8. Hi Jayzelena, I have an interview next week and I am so excited! I would like to sound more confident about which track I want to do - hate to go in there and seem wishy-washy. From a few threads I've been hearing different schedules for ATOP and evening programs than what is posted on PBI's website. Could you please tell me if Thursday is always a full day of class/clinical, as are Fridays and Saturdays? My work would be fine with me only working 4 days a week, but cutting down to 3 days may be a stretch. I guess I could find a more flexible job (I work in an office 9-5), but I sort of like the one I have now. Thanks for your help!
  9. Congrats MG, I just got an email letting me know I also have an interview next week, too! I'm so excited :) I think people posted earlier in this thread what kinds of questions they ask and what the interview experience was like. Seemed like it was a positive experience and low-key.
  10. I'm in the same boat. But, I've tried calling and I've only talked to an answering machine - no one has ever call me back. Very frustrating. I know they are processing my application as they have cashed the check I sent with my app.
  11. Thanks all, I called and spoke to a counselor today who said my application is complete but still under review. Despite applying so early, I'm sure my app was reviewed with everyone else's who applied by the priority. I think this is just due to the nature of rolling admissions, not a reflection of the quality of my application (which I think was pretty good). Keeping the hope alive for Friday!
  12. I applied on Jan 18th and still haven't heard anything Maybe they are doing it in alphabetical order.
  13. Hi all! I think I caught a cold this weekend after being so stressed/worried about not receiving an email last Friday. I called admissions today and spoke to a counselor who said they have not finished sending out decisions for those who applied by the priority deadline, they should be sending out more near the end of the week for us early birds! Keeping the hope alive! Congrats to all the others who got in!
  14. Hi everyone, and congrats Sulo! Ownie, thanks for the interview rundown! Sounded reassuring and positive, which is awesome after all this waiting and stress I'm sure we're all feeling. I got my NLN scores back and I'm so relieved! My math sucked, as expected, but I got a 99th percentile on the other two so my composite is 98. I really hope this is enough to get me an interview. My HS gpa was low, but my BS in psyc was pretty good. There were a ton of people taking the test the same day I did so I'm sure I have a lot of waiting ahead of me.
  15. Congrats everyone! Best of luck with the program! But I am dying a slow death over here as I await an email! I applied on Jan. 18th so I had hoped I was in the first round of application review. I keep telling myself they are just working down the alphabet or gmail is really slow today, I'll keep you all posted :) I tried calling and only got the rolling admissions answer then a transfer to one of the counselor's voicemails. Any one have any luck calling today?
