VEEB LPN Program (info request)
I have a question. I received my bill in for the first trimester, and unfortunately.. some personal family problems have occurred so I have no money to pay that off. And the tuition is including financial aid. Is there any loans out there that could help me out? Or if the school could give me an extended time to pay that off or something? Like a monthly payment plan? If so, I'd love to know about it. If not, I guess I have to push another year to go into the lpn program which I don't want to happen since I already got all the books and deposit in.

Nad, I'm pretty sure you will do fine. I mean, you've worked this hard in life and I'm sure you'll make it farther. Everything will fall into place, it's just time consuming. I know I'm going to have to quit my job once school starts if I get accepted into this program. But once I get that license, I know I could get places.

Hey guys. As far as financial aid goes, how does the process go and what are the requirements? Cus I know I don't have 12g's. I'm just curious because I want to prepare myself on applying for financial aid and loans. And Grindin, I'm hoping you could answer this. You've been helping me out through this whole process and making it easier on my mind which I freakin' appreciate.

I have another question because I'm freaking out about this whole reference letter fiasco. Does the school actually call our references? And are they strict about the staionary letterhead? I'm going crazy mow since my job won't write me a reference letter. -_-

Yeah, I just called my aunt and her hospital has stationary paper as well. Thank you so much for all your help. I'm picking up the letter Monday night and handing it in on Tuesday. Hopefully I see you when school starts!

Ok guys, I have a little problem. I already have one reference letter from my old english high school teacher. I asked him a month prior for it and he gave it to me that week. I also asked my boss to type one up for me but she won't do it since I'm on "formal documentation" for my cash differences within the year that I started up until now. I work in a bank as a teller. So nooow.. I'm stuck. Cus I really want a reference letter from my job so they know how hard I work NOW, not back when I was in high school. I really don't know what to doo, and I want to get these letters in asap! Good lord, help meeee!! Is it bad if I get a reference letter from a relative of mines? They're all professionals. I'm so desperate. And do they really call up your references just to verify that it's legit, or no?

Honestly, I think your baby's health should come first. It's difficult to go back to school just when you give birth cus you'll be out of energy and you're gna be waay behind. These type of schools move fast, and they don't stop for no one. Missing 3 days of class is equivalent to missing 3 months. Your best bet is to call up VEEB and talk to one of their counselors and see what they suggest. But I hope everything works out well for you.

I took my test this past Tuesday and I felt like it was a breeze. Everything was basic and nothing too difficult. This forum helped me prepare a lot for the test as well, thank you. Now it's the waiting process I have to deal with. Hopefully I get admitted in!

Thank you! I've been lurking this thread for awhile now and I've been taking notes. Deep down, I'm nervous about not passing this test because people on here have failed so that gives me a chance that I might fail too but I'm studying nonstop! I'm downpacked with everything, I'm just scared that the time limit is whats going to kick me in the butt. :uhoh21:

Hello, I'm new to the board as well. (: When did you guys pick up your applications? I got mine today and my test date is February 9th. And the test isn't that difficult from what people have been saying on here. It's based on 9th grade math and 11th grade reading. So your best study guide is an SAT or GED Review book. I've been using the Tabe D booklet to brush up everything.
