  1. I know I should know this, but...anyone know how they continue tuition, payments, etc for each additional year we were approved for?
  2. i was told today that it was supposed to be between november 10-15...
  3. nothing for me either
  4. can anyone answer this... so do they consider the stipend income and it goes against us or do we just have to claim it?
  5. has anyone received any other correspondence since getting an acceptance letter? i have the information of my analyst by chance and emailed her and she hasn't responded. anything?
  6. angelp71, i am sorry to hear that! wow, that is a lot of applicants. i know we all needed equally. good luck to you!
  7. nothing yet, somebody report if you do, please, THANKS!
  8. deevee12, if you don't mind sharing, what did they tell you?
  9. I just spoke to someone there but was acutally calling the get the "recording" from the earlier post. She said our stipends should be out Nov. 7 or around that time and to copy the letter and send it to our financial aid department and ask them to bill HRSA. Hope this helps!
  10. to those that have received notification already, have you been contacted by your representative or any other correspondence?
  11. no problem you guys...still keeping my fingers crossed for everyone on here!!!
  12. Just wanted to pass on that I received my acceptance letter today. I did receive the finalist email but no other correspondence until the letter. I live in Texas, ADN program, first year. Keep waiting guys, they are coming!!! Good luck to the rest of you and congrats to the letter recipients!
  13. careNhope, i THINK they actually received more funding from a stimulus grant...hopefully, that's why it is delayed and more of us will be awarded...i think i read somewhere in this post about the additional funding...???
  14. I am a first preference, I did get the email, but still no letter yet...
  15. This is the response i got from an email today: Thank you for your inquiry to the HRSA Call Center. All we know is that you will be notified by the end of this month. As to when the acceptance and denied notifications are actually mailed, we do not have that information. So still no answer...just FYI.
  16. don't give up too much...there are several students in my nursing class that didn't get accepted until the friday before the monday we started class because people dropped out or no showed...so i am not giving up until october 31st or i receive confirmation either way, so halloween I will be eating lots of candy in celebration or in a depression...LOL! i think someone would post their official receipt on this blog, so i am holding onto the fact no one has received a letter yet, which i agree, really stinks and we should get the same answer from each different rep everyone has talked to, not 5 million different explanations...still don't understand why we can't log in somewhere and find out.
  17. as far as the status and incomplete on applications, i think they have all been reset for this year coming up applications. mine says all the same thing as well as all documents needs to be received by May 14, 2010.
  18. sunflower, I don't think anyone has "officially" been notified. Some of us received finalist/alternate emails and then I think 2 people have received phone calls but I don't think anyone has received a letter in the mail which from my understanding is the official notification...correct me if I'm wrong you guys...???
  19. to the ladies that received the calls, could you please tell us if you have caller id, does the call come through identified...not an unknown number or anything like that?
  20. i hear ya...losing it right there with you...not in the mail today. i get all excited that a day has passed so i can go check the mail, and then NOTHING...then i come here, hoping no one else got it today either and hoping i don't read someone got it and maybe that means i didnt...i try to be like when it comes it comes and if it doesn't, oh well, I'm still gonna finish nursing school...but it sure would make things a WHOLE lot easier!!! praying for you guys and me to at least have an answer soon.
  21. i hear ya...i'm not very good at being patient about this...i keep trying to find answers but the only true answer is to wait...geez...i always wanted to be a nurse but really went back to school at this point because i lost my job and as well as my passion for nursing i will always be able to find a job. you have every reason to be over the moon. since it looks like you're our first official awardee, will u keep updating us (for peace of mind...lol)
  22. I know it has...I hope I have the same weight lifted. I was trying to look back and see if anyone from 08 got the initial finalist/alternate email but didn't actually get the scholarship...do you know the statistics on that? i hate being so obsessive about this....
  23. i got pretty much the same response...told me to look for it in about a week or so
  24. how did you get them to tell you? i called and the person i spoke with said i should know something in about a week or so
