  1. Thanks everyone, I'm really trying not to let it bother me... Its just hard because it seems I keep on getting the strict instructors and I feel very lucky cause I have learned so much and I have no problems with the material. However, I was so determined to become a CRNA and it just feels like it slipping away from me.
  2. Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your response. I am quite bumped about the way clinicals are handled in my school. Even though clinicals are supposed to be pass/fail; we still get a grade based on a written assignment. This assignment is worth 25% of our final grade. What is upsetting me is that the grade you get is based more on the instructor rather than the essay itself. In my group the highest grade was an 88 and after that everyone else got 76-84. However, other groups got 93-99. To me this is ridiculous that there is such a big difference of grades specially since its such a big chunk of the final grade. In our group we also got deducted 5 points for not including a complete rubric where as other groups did not get any points deducted. Is there anything that can be done about this? I find this to be very unfair because it prevents certain people from getting an A. Thanks again.
  3. Thanks. There are tutor and the instructor are great. The only sad part is that my pharm instructor is in San Antonio but she tries to help as much as she can. I'm just taking one day at a time and getting all the help that I need. I guess I just needed to vent, specially since I wasn't expecting such difficult classes on line. Thanks for the feedback.
  4. Hi everyone and thanks for your responses. I'm currently a new nursing student. I became a nursing student very excited and with lots of hope. I knew it was going to be hard but I became discouraged just as soon as school began. I have 4 classes and 3 are online. I have phatophysiology and pharmacology online. We had orientation and everyone asked why we had pharmacology online and it was because the instructor quit and that there was nothing that could be done. Then I found out that only about 25 students got phatophysiology online because there was not enough room for the actual instructor class. We got stuck for registering last. I find this very unfair because the material is hard and online I'm completely lost. I try to join the campus class but was told there was no room. I feel like if they had no room they shouldn't have taken so many students. I also feel at a disatvantage try to learn all this pretty much on my own. I'm really upset and having a hard time with the material. I been thinking of speaking to the Dean and asking for my money back and aplying to a nursing school with actual instructors. What are your thoughts on this????? Please help.
