  1. Hi, what's the name of that school where we could finish LPN for 11 months?
  2. Thank you so much SMOORE for the encouragement. Yes, I CAN do it. I HAVE to do it! Thanks to you too, JSKSMON...
  3. Class starts next week, and I am wondering if you could help me devise a plan on how to successfully pass my first semester in the program. I already took all the other subjects while waiting to be admitted in the Program, so basically this Fall I am only taking my Fundamentals of Nursing which is being subdivided into 3. Lectures, Clinical, Lab Skills. We have to pass all that 3 sub-categories. Any suggestion on how you overcome your first semester in the program? I know some of you will answer me to "study, study, read, study" - but study has a broad scope, I wanna know HOW? One of the weakness I have is that English is not my first language.... But so far, I was able to get an A in both my A&P 1&2, B+ on my Algebra and Microbiology, and B's on English & other courses. Anything you wanted to share on your first semester Associate RN program? Thanks...
  4. i have purple littman master cardiology with my name engraved on it. love it!
  5. Am glad I am already done with my AP1 & 2 a year ago with the unexpected "A" for both. I was just lucky to excel every exam, and was exempt to take the final exam. Thanks Professor Thornton and classmates... we had fun in the class.
  6. I finished Law in my home country Philippines, but when I migrate to this country in 2006 and was employed as a Legal Assistant, I was only getting $10/hour. With that amount of earnings, how would I be able to support myself if I lose my husband who is currently earning 6 figure a year? That $10/ hour wouldnt be even enough to pay-off our property taxes annually! So I took the LSAT, and planned to pursue my lawyering here, however, it would take me another 4 years in the law school and/or go back to Philippines and pass the BAR then go back here and take the BAR exam in New York. That would probably take a while. So, the door lead me to Nursing. I know there will be physical contact with patients who may poop and vomit once and a while, but I never see it that way. These patients need competent and passionate nurses. I would be happy to make their stay in my care worthwhile. Kudos to all nurses!!!! and soon be nurse....
  7. am getting Littman Master Cardiology PURPLE color....:redpinkhe
  8. Am having hard time on this. Haven't used a stethoscope in my life, so I wanna buy one as early as possible in order for me to practice on how to use it. I really don't know which one to buy. I am trying to shop around, but couldn't find a store in NJ that sells stethoscope.
  9. Hello all, I am a new member and this is my first post. Finally, I am formally admitted into the Nursing Program this coming Fall, and now on the process of scouting materials that I would be needing. My question is: What is the best possible Stethescope and BP Machine to buy? I am considering 3M™ Littmann® Master Cardiology™ Stethoscopes any comment please? And with regards to BP machine, please i need your help too. Thank you. Maija:wink2:
