  1. thanks for all your responses! Unfortunately my program of choice only offers Full Time now, so that is my main dilemma! Have to decide by next week. I am lucky to have a very supportive husband, so I know we can make it work if its in the cards. Good luck to everyone who is in school now as well..!
  2. Curious if anyone out there can lend me their success stories (or failure) of attempting FNP school with a toddler at home. I currently work part time but realize I would probably have to go PRN to attempt both. I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and go, or if it might be easier to wait longer. What worked for you if you had young children at home during grad school? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :)
  3. Where did you end up going?! Looking into the same schools now. :)
  4. Looking for an online FNP program that offers live classroom experience (i.e. on the web with your class). I know Georgetown and Simmons offer this. Anyone know of anywhere else/have a recommendation? Thanks so much!
  5. Trying to decide-- I've been an RN for 4 years on a busy medical oncology floor. It's always been a goal of mine to go back to school and now I am thinking more about it since I've started a family. I'd like to be able to work days and not every holiday away from home! Im looking for a new challenge as I feel burnt out on hospital nursing, yet still very passionate about what I do at its core. Tell me your pros / cons about becoming an NP as far as challenges, scheduling, patient load, flexibility, change in role, etc. Do you miss bedside nursing? Thanks so much!
