  1. Thanks to everyone for replying to my question. I understand that if you work as a CNA for a few years you might make a little more when you become an LPN. But what my classmate was saying is that basically being a cna is just like being an lpn and that qualifies as experience. She even had the nerve to say since she pass the exam to become a cna that the NCLEX will be a breeze to her. I really don't know what she is thinking. I just can't wait til we get to clinicals and ask her then is lpn and cna the same thing. This is coming from someone who was also bragging that she goes to her car and sleeps during her shift!
  2. Thank you all. Thats what I thought but I didn't say anything to her when she was telling me this. When I told her that CNA's and LPN"s were different she said no it wasn't just the only thing that CNA's can't do is pass out meds which is true but I still see it as to totally different fields
  3. Im going to school for LPN and a classmate of mine stated to me that since she is a CNA that means she already has experianced. But, I have always been told that CNA and LPN are really two different things. She was saying since she already works at a nursing home that when she gets finish with school she can go straight to working at a hospital. So am I right or wrong? Thanks in advance for replying.
  4. This may be a little late but there is a loan program which you could use. Its called a cancelable loan and what it is its a loan that you don't have to pay back. But, you have to work in georgia for two years and if you don't or you quit the program you have to pay the money back.
