  6. If I wasn't excited,Why would I be asking questions? Thank you for your apology.
  7. Dear Daytonite, If you knew how hard I have been trying to get ahead of the game you would feel really bad for what you said about me. I was simply asking what I need to be studying. My study partner and I have been studying so hard to try and get a head start. We don't even start class until May 4th. Before you imply that someone is looking for an easy way out, you should actually know the situation. I beleive My study partner and I are probably doing more than necessary to make sure we will be, informed and capable students and in turn be informed and capable Nurses. Compassion is also a very large part of being a sucessful nurse, That includes compassion for nursing student's. Just remember you were once a nursing student. How would you feel if some said to you what you said to me?
  8. I live in Tennessee. Does anyone know how in depth the skeletal system is? ie..do we have to learn all the bones or just certain ones? also what would you suggest studying to get a heads up on Anatomy?
  9. I am going to the same school, hey we'll be classmates! you can email me if you want. We may know each other! [email protected]
  10. where are you going to school, i start May 4 as well.
  11. I took the NET for entrance and took the TABE for WIA approval. If you can pass the NET, the TABE will be a breeze. You can look on www.testpreveiw.com for some sample questions and I just studied it for one night and made a 92. Main thing is Math, Fractions, decimals, percents. The rest is just common knowledge. Good luck, let us know how you do.
  12. I just bought a book called "study smarter not harder" by Kevin Paul. Got me completely organized and now I have a plan! I start May 4th!
  13. Evamist and Lexapro saved my sanity and now I don't have to apologize for my outburts anymore.:argue:
  14. I am 42 Years old and starting the LPN program in May. I will be staying a LPN simply because I can only afford to be out of work for a year. The pay is not really alot different here, just more opportunities for RNs. I am nursing because I want to do it, not for the pay. That seems to be the only difference to me
  15. I start in 10 weeks! scared, nervous, hope I can hack it! Good Luck to ya!
  16. I start LPN school in 10 weeks. Should I read up on medical terminology or anatomy? Any titles you could help me with would be appreciated. I have never worked in health care and don't want to feel stupid in the class with CNA's and other students who have already been exposed to things in the field.
  17. I just got accepted to LPN school. :yeah:I have 10 weeks to prepare what should I be doing to get a jump on the class? I love reading so any input on books or websites I could study would be helpful.
