i'm getting ready to rejoin the nursing program after a 6 mth break. I'm nervous! I have to really start studying again. What I'd like to know is if anyone knows where online I can get drug calculations practice problems for the LPN program?? Thanks!

Does anyone have any ideas as to what topic I could use for my Geriatric Pt. Teaching??? I already have, "Preventing falls" and "The benefits of a healthy diet" ....But I could use some more ideas!!

I just found out during my LPN orientation, that we are going to be IV certified! I'm so afraid of this!! I had talked myself into believing that I can give shots and that it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but now we are doing IV's and blood draw too! I'm freaking out! Anyone felt that way to find out later it wasn't a big deal after all???

well, I'm glad you got into the program early, I was told by everyone I talked to that it was a good 2 yr wait...but I guess it takes some people 2 yrs to finish all those pre reqs! Yea,we (lpns) had to take psy. class too..i loved mine! I think RN's have to take a medical terminology and a basic computer skills class as well???

I'm sorry, I left out chemistry...yea, Maths a must! Theres this whole progression...math, then chem, then a&p...

It was 10 yrs since I had been in HS before I decided it was time to go to college. BUT I did it! And I got all A's and B's too...so if I can do it, anyone can!! There was no wait for the LPN course, but there is a 2 yr wait for the RN course. My prereq's were...Math 090 and 091 (but I've heard you have to take 128 now??) psy..which was a blast, Mr. Newcomer is the best...comp 1, nutrition and anatomy and phis. 121...which wasnt' terrible.

Congrats to everyone on their acceptance into the LPN program!! I too am entering the program on Jan. 8 and I couldn't have more of a mix of emotions! lol I am sooo very excited and yet sick to my stomach w/ nerves, lol btw...this is my 1st post on this forum, I just found it!
