sorry i have taken sooo long to reply... i got all of my text books off of amazon. if you get a book list from your school do an online search for them before just buying them from the school bookstore, you can usually find better deals online! i saved over $300...

Calculations of Drug Dosages is my textbook name... I really love it and it comes with a cd that helps as well. the best advice I can give is to learn which solving method is going to work for you... (deminsional analysis, formula, etc...) and to stick which it like glue! good luck and feel free to ask anything on here it has really helped me in the past!!

yes as of the fall semester they were on the points system and I don't know of any talk of them not being... I am thinking I got in with 158? I say "I think" because I don't know if my final transcripts were added or not?? If not it would have been like 138?? they never told me my points... but from what I added myself that is it... I was happy at orientation, the class seems to be small which I think I will do better with, I do know the one change that will be in affect for Spring 2010 will be the math you will have to have math 100 and not math 116... Math 116 is no longer going to be accepted in all of Alabama from my understanding??? Good luck!

Sorry I haven't been on here in a couple of days... I think their point system is like everyone elses... that is about the same range of my points... only difference is I am having to take a bio challenge exam or the bio 103 class this summer to lock in my spot... I am pretty sure Aimee03 is right they only take apps once a year... Wallace and Jeff State accept for Fall and Spring... As far as how hard they are... I am prepared for it to be the hardest thing of my life! I don't expect anything to be easy from here... Good luck!! This forum has really helped me as far as information goes.... I would hope it is a good program. I got in there as well. Are you saying the points aren't good enough or just asking a general question? I am not sure what her points had to do with your question?

I know a little... I have student loans?? Have you filled out your FASFA? It shouldn't matter what state your from (I wouldn't think) as long as your are enrolled in that school, cause it comes from the school??

That's cool I am going to Sumiton campus! I spoke with the lady at Hamilton yesterday... they are very nice... Good luck! I am going to get some type of book today?? I can't get anyone at Sumiton on the phone they are all out until the 27th... it makes me a nervous wreck!!

I have been given a choice of the challenge exam or taking the course?? Does anyone know anything about the exam? I really don't want to take the course...

From what I understand it is being talked about for Fall 09 applicants and concessions MAYBE made for points already earned?? Google PAX exam and you should find the company that created and offers the exam. and that should give you more information about it. JS used to require it for entrance back in 2000 when I attempted nursing pre req's then, from what I can remember it was done away with because of the nursing shortage, which if I am not mistaken hasn't gotten any better, anyway it was replaced with and the points system. Maybe somebody will offer us somebetter advice soon... hope I helped in the meantime
