  1. If you live in Dominica , then you'd most likely come to the US to take the exam. If you don't already have a US visa then you would need to take to the interview everything you have to prove you're scheduled for an exam. In addition to what you've stated that you're taking with you , I would also print a copy of the appointment date set with Pearson-Vue. The US wants to ensure that you will return to Dominica after brief stay, so take as much documentation that you have to prove ties to Dominica eg. car note, mortgage etc. Good Luck. HTH
  2. I was also advised by a lawyer this week that VSC will take 4 months even though I graduated from a US school. I was also advised previously that without OPT all I had to do was sit for NCLEX and start petition. Now I'm being told I will be out of status soon and may have to go home. I've learned the hard way that you just have to do your own homework and follow Suzanne's advice because in my opinion she's the only one who has her finger on the right info
  3. How would things be different for a grad of a US nursing school? Do you mean we would eliminate steps toward attaining GC that other int'l applicants would take?
  4. Hi Everyone, I'm a nursing student and new to this BB....I've been lurking for several years and have learned so much!!!!But of course, there's still lots more for me to learn! So here's my 1st question. What exactly is per diem?I understand it means no benefits...I guess my question would be If I work per diem which benefits do I lose?Do I still accrue sick days and vacation?Would you recommend a new grad work per diem? Thanks all for the enlightenment!!!!
