  1. 1. What is the best part of being my age? Freedom. I don't feel so concerned about what everyone thinks. 2.What would you consider the worst part of being my age? My body. I can't do what I use to do physically and I'm just not as quick in the brain anymore. 3.If you could change anything in your life what would it be? I would plan better for retirement. 4.Do you consider yourself happy with your life? Yes but I do have regrets.
  2. I have been a nurse for 30 years. My experiences include adult and neonatal ICU, dialysis and home care. I need to work from home now but not sure what jobs are out there. I looked into medical transcribing but the companies I looked at required you to buy software at $400 plus. Not sure if this is a scam. Wondering if anyone had any ideas what I could do with my nursing experience from home.
  3. That's the wonderful thing about nursing there are so many opportunities. Don't panic. Try something that seems interesting. If you don't like it you can always change. You need to give each job at least a year or so to fully understand if you like it or not. There is no such thing as being "boxed in". Explore ALL that nursing has. I've worked in adult and neonatal ICU, dialysis, and home care. I saw acute and chronically ill, adults and children, in and out of the hospital. It was all wonderful. Good Luck
  4. When I worked in the nursery we had "nurse's aides" but as we went with "rooming in" there were less and less aides. There is some need for someone to help with feeding but not enough to hire anyone. I would keep going with your education and become a RN. Working in maternal child is so rewardign. Good Luck
