  1. Hi my fellow nurses and becomeing nurses :) I`m having a lil problem here. I want to endorse my current valid New Mexico Liscense to a CA liscense. The instructions that the CA BON give are confusing to me. Is there any nurse from Germany that went through this problem before? If you can help me please contact me. My 1. problem: Requesting the transcripts. - If I sent the copies from CGFNS to the CA BON do they still need Transcripts from my school? - If yes what should the transcripst content? Because we don´t have transcripts in Germany for nursing school. 2. Problem: TOFEL - Do I´ve to send my test results to the CA BON? 3. Educational breakdown - What exactaly do the mean with course description for the surgical and medical part to show evidence of geriatric content in these nursing areas? Please help. I want to have some answers fist before I call the CA BON and make a fool out of my self. Thank u very much
  2. Hi, my name is Marie and I`m facing the same problem with the renewal of my liscense, I found a couple of free and with a fee CEU´s online but I`m not sure if they are approved by the BON. I´ve to take them online for I´m a nurse in Germany with an NM liscense, I want to keep this liscense valid because I´m planning on moving to the US someday. Can please someone help me and let me know which CEU site or courses online are approved by the BON. Thank u very much
  3. Hi Focuszx5 I share ur problem, I'm a nurse from germany and I've my problems too with the knowledg and comprehension questions and I do too good on the analysis and application questions. What I did, I reviewed everything what I didn't had a clue of, just to call back some knowledge and symptoms etc. The thing is the passing level questions asking how u work on the patcients bedside and not what symptoms a MI has, so what u should do is, try not to let ur experience get in your way, it is helpful but u know yourself certain situations u handle different in real situations, I know its hard but try to handle the situation like they say it in the book. Im affraid too that I get the first questions wrong which might not be passing level and than fail the test. How did u prepare yourself for Pharma? That is killing me
  4. Hey. No its my first attempt. And im realy freaking out because I read that so many ppl fail the 1st time, and I"ve to pass right away. I started with the Princton review book that my agency sent me, but i really can't recommand this one. And I signd up for the elsvier online course, but what is in that ccourse u can find in the book the only difference is that u have after every module a 100 question test and they offer at the end a 265 question exam + a CAT for practice. How was ur experience the first time are the questions really hard do u have to know everything that is in the book?? I really don't know how to picture that test.We don't do those tests in germany.
  5. Hey everyone. I'm a lil anxious about the NCLEX-RN which i take in a few weeks. Im an RN from germany my degree got accepted here now i have to take the NCLEX-RN. I really don't know what to expect, how that test is built and what i contains. I' studying right now with Saunders which I think is a great booka and take a online class as well. My concern is what will be ask on that test? Everything u can now about nursing or is there a focus? I've been out of nursing parctice almost 2 years, and I've to addmit u forget alot in those 2 years. Another question how u know the questions are high level, moderate level and low level? Please help me.
  6. Thanks for that quick reply. It is just there are some big differences in some values. For instance: Lipase Book:10- 140; online 0-160 Amylase book: 25-151; online 0-130 That just thew me off a bit
