Hi dewko. There's nothing to post right now since our PD's are not yet current.

Intelligent for foresight for the DECEMBER VB
I disagree with you...it depends on the Consular post. In Manila, the files are not forwarded to them by NVC until an interview sched has been set since the NVC schedules the interview...I think this is also the case for Riyadh. If files are forwarded when they are completed as you claimed, then our files should have been at the embassy in 2006 since we have been declared doc qualified/file complete by NVC in Aug 2006, then again in July 2007, then again May 2008 so how come our file is still with NVC? So you see I have a basis to disagree. That is why I am happy for Nightingale since her file was finally forwarded to the Riyadh embassy.

Intelligent for foresight for the DECEMBER VB
Hi nightingale...glad to hear your file is already in the US Embassy in Riyadh. There is good chance that you will be interviewed this December. NVC only forwards the file to the Embassy when it is to be scheduled for interview. At least you do not have to update documents at the NVC which makes it faster when your PD does become current. Goodluck and let us know if you receive your packet 4.

Petitioned by a New York Employer
Housing is just a temporary issue and should not be a big problem. Besides, I don't intend to stay in my employer's housing when I arrive because I will be bringing my husband and daughter. So that is not really a problem. As for work, I don't intend to start work immediately when I arrive. Infact I intend to ask the employer to give me a a month before I start work so I can still visit friends and relatives if the employer can wait. It is also in our contract that there could be a brief period between arriving to the US and starting work to allow for us to finish some trainings and get certifications like CPR and to allow us to get ourselves settled before starting work. The employer did not promise work immediately upon arrival. In fact they would not tell me now what facility I will be working since they have to wait for NVC to give me an interview sched so they can estimate when I will be able to start work and which facility will be needing nurses when the time comes. The reason I started this thread is to find out if somebody here has the same employer so we may compare PD and status of our cases and who knows we might be on the same airplane going to the U.S. when our time comes. To other nurses, don't be discouraged by reports of poor housing as this is only temporary. Remember...this is free housing. If you stayed in a dormitory during your college days, then you should be used to having a lot of people in one room and bathroom so this should not really be an issue for you. You can find a place of your own if you don't like their housing arrangements specially if you are bringing your family. You have to think about your future not just the few months of arrival. Expect your first few months in the US to be difficult as this is a time for adjustment. No pain, no gain...

Petitioned by a New York Employer
Hi Nightingale's Idol, yes I am under the agency you mentioned on your PM. And I do hope that when the time our PD becomes current they will have a placement for us. I have searched job openings in the internet and there are a couple of job openings/placements under this agency which are recently posted so I guess everything will be fine. They have also called me a couple of times to check how I am doing. I think they do this to all their nuirses waiting for their visas.

Petitioned by a New York Employer
Hi. I just wanted to know if anyone in this forum was petitioned by a staffing agency in New York. I wanted to find someone who might have been petitioned with the same employer as mine. For the specific name of the employer, please PM me. thanks

EB-3 skilled visa applicants with 2005 PDs
hi can terburybell, i was just wondering how come your updated ds230 was sent only last august? your pd was current last april to june 2008 (plenty of time to submit an updated ds230 and you should have been documentarily qualified then). was there any problem why you were not able to submit an updated ds230 during that time? since you only submitted the ds230 last august then probably your ds230 is still with your lawyer since nvc will not process your ds230 when vb is unavailable. hence you are still not documentarily qualified and have to wait until your pd becomes current again but by that time, you will be delayed again since nvc will still have to process your ds230. even if your pd will be current on the december 2008 vb you will not be scheduled for interview if you are not documentarily qualified...what took you so long to submit the updated ds230? you can call nvc automated response at 6033340700, if the response states your case has been completed on _______ then you are doc qualified. i have a pd of nov 2005 which was current last may and june 2008 vb, my lawyer received the request for updated ds230 from nvc last week of april. i sent the documents to my lawyer may 1 and i think they sent it to nvc may 5 and i was declared case completed/documentarily qualified may 14, 2008. even nurses with pds of march 2006 were already doc qualified last june that is why i was wondering what cause the delay on your case and base on your statement you submitted only last asugust to your lawyer so the delay was on your part not the lawyer?

Pretty neirelle's case confirms that NVC is indeed scheduling interviews for PD's beyond VB cut-off date... VERY GOOD NEWS. two cases already reported being scheduled in October eventhough October VB cut-off is Jan.1, 2005...Pretty neirell's PD is Jan. 15, 2005 and another nurse reported in hammond a PD of March 2005 but got an interview schedule this October... Hope December VB will cover at least Jan 1, 2006 or even better if it will be beyod Jan 2006. So if anyone here gets a schedule for November interview, please let us know.

Hi guys, I just read on Hammond forum that there was this person whose friend has a PD of March 2005 but still have an interview schedule on Oct. 24 eventhough October VB cut-off is Jan. 1, 2005. This is good news, means there must be very few cases with PD of 2004 that they have decided to schedule interviews for PD even beyond the cut-off date. Also in trackitt.com, there are only very few 2004 cases that have not yet received their green card(although not all cases are reported on trackitt) but since people with 2005 cases have already received their greencards on trackitt, this must be good news meaning there is a good chance of forward movement of VB for Philippines.

Hi Nightingale's idol. I believe pretty neirelle's pd is Jan 2005 based on her post last Aug. 2007(see post #1939). Hope pretty neirelle can verify this again if she visits this forum. My PD is November 2005 and I was declared documentarily qualified for the third time last May 14, 2008.

Hi pretty neirelle...if I'm not mistaken, your PD is Jan 2005 right? ( I am assuming it is after January 1, 2005 right?). This is good news because eventhough the October VB is Jan 1, 2005 they are still scheduling PD's after January 2005 for interview. Hopefully VB will move forward on November.

Hi dewko, do you know what letter they are referring to? Is it the appointment letter or another letter requesting to send again updated DS 230 and docs? I have a PD of Nov 2005 and case completion of May 14 though I have not emailed NVC.
