  1. Is the job really highly paid compared to other jobs? Is it worth it to become a nurse with the reasons Im choosing to be? How competitive is it to get a job in the job market? Do I need more than bachelors to get employed? Is it really a morally degrading job? Is it like I've to show extra tons of skills to prove I'm qualified over dozens of other candidates? These are my reasons to choose nursing as my career. Feel free to provide constructive criticism and shatter my idealistic perceptions as necessary- Despite from science background, complete dunce at physics, math, and chemistry ( subjects according to most difficulty) Good at biology, and interested in psychology ( For which I believe I will do good in learning how to deal with patients) Don't want to dedicate my whole life to studies but rather hop right into the career after bachelors, especially with the 4-and-a-half-year gap. LOL as naive as it sounds, I have a goal of mine related to my parents which needs money of course, and a long time to happen too for which I want to earn as soon as I can. ( Hurrying up because we never know when will they leave the earth) Have a gut feeling that it won't be taken by AI like other jobs like IT etc I would rather burn myself out running to and fro than be physically inactive at desk jobs. Will help me to learn how to deal with people's stubborn/dark/negative/nasty sides as it is something one goes through more or less after creating a family ( LOL doesn't mean I'm willing to stay with someone who don't will to change and I don't benefit from it)
  2. This site is a really super helpful one for me!! Thank you soooo much ,I can't express well how much I was looking for a clear answer to my question !! You really helped fellow stranger!! May God give you happiness immensely!!
  3. The mandatory courses of Nursing and Psych Nursing aren't same, unfortunately. Also, I'm an international student so we don't have a university providing just elective classes in the place I'm currently living. I will be applying to a Canadian university that offers prerequisites for nursing only. But regardless, I will look for any university which will help me to enroll for electives only if I don't get the acceptance letter from the one to which I applied. Thank you for the suggestion!
  4. In another words- unless there's any exception, I won't be able to switch to other field's nursing like BN candidates can do. And if I can't, then I have to go through BN/accelerated BN again even after having BPN degree in Canada right?
  5. Due to tight situation, I have one university which offers bachelor of psychiatric nursing only. But I don't want to pursue psychiatric nursing. So I was wondering if it is possible to complete prerequisites of Psychiatric Nursing and transfer to another university where I can study year 2 of Bachelor of Nursing. (Btw I will pursuing my degree in Manitoba of Canada)
