OSU NNP Program
Hi! I'm currently a NICU nurse looking into applying for the NNP program at Ohio State University. I was wondering if any of you are currently in or graduated from this program? I would like to know how's the application process like? What were the interview questions? Is it a hard program to get into? How many people were in your cohort? Any info would be much appreciated. ?

LACUSC NICU interview
Hi, has anybody recently interviewed for the NICU at LACUSC? Have they gotten back to you yet? I had my interview on 04/25 and I'm still waiting for a call back. Is this a bad sign?

Hi @bnpina from what I can remember, you may be offered a full time/part time position by your unit after working certain hours per week after a certain period of time. But I'm not quite sure if that applies for the new grad program. You are however able to pick up more shifts once your orientation/probation (6 months) is over. Only downside is you still won't have benefits unless you are part/full time. Hope that helps. Goodluck on your interview! Seems like they are calling external applicants first. None of the internal applicants that I know have heard anything yet. ALSO FOR ANYONE WONDERING: They said program start date is March 06, 2023

Wanting to quit my NICU job!!
Hi, I'm sorry for what you're going through right now. I think the best option at this time would be to start looking for a different job so you can have the lined up before you quit. Do extensive research about the unit you apply for so you don't regret if you leave this one and end up in another unfullfilling job. Also, keep in mind that most places that hire for night shift typically have a waitlist that are years(not even just a year). Another option might be to ask your current employer if a transfer to a different unit would be possible? If you feel like taking a break is the best way, then do so. Hopefully, you've saved enough just incase. I hope you find exactly what works for you, wish you the best!
