Hello. Sorry it took me so long to answer. Yes I did put my current address that is outside of the state of Florida. I got a single state Florida license because TX changed my multi state to single state when I moved. It took about a month to arrive.

Thank you so very much for your answer. That makes sense since I put my new address in Puerto Rico where I currently reside. I wonder if Florida would take a long time to process applications by endorsement, if there is nothing that would show on my background check? I never did manage to reach the board by phone and I can count on my offer until the middle of July only.

Hello, I was wondering if you ever found out what you have to do and how long it took you?. I have an active license from TX, I renewed it in december, now its showing as a single state license instead of the multistate I have always had. I already have a couple of offers from Florida but I am not in the state yet. I wonder if I just put the address I currently reside in, which is in one of the territories and how long does the process take.

Hello. I am relocating my mom from Puerto Rico to Tampa to be near my brother due to her medical condition. She will be placed in an nursing home near where he lives, as I can no longer take care of her by myself. But I have to relocate to keep an eye on her as he either cannot or will not have much to do with the situation. I am interested in learning about the hospitals and job market, I am looking not only for Tampa but areas around like Clearwater, Brandon, saint petersburg, etc. The last time I was in Florida was 1995. I have a compact license &15 years of bedside nursing in different areas, med surg, psych, post and ante partum and cardiology. Ideally, I would really like to transition to hospice care. But any night time job will do. I spend the last 2 years out of nursing looking after my step dad during his last illness and now my mom. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
