  1. I have some of these same q's too. Starting nursing school at UM!! Frequent flier of botox, injectables and a few other procedures. ?
  2. Currently admitted & accepted my place in Spring 2022 UMiami ABSN program ??. Looking for apartment recommendations from prior class. -female, late 20s, relocating from northeast -1 BR ideal, luxury amenities, under $2000 -possible study area and big closet ? -don’t have pets, pref close-ish to SONHS Thank you in advance! ❤️
  3. Thanks @gatorgal - I decided not to go with Nova. I called and let the office know I wasn’t attending at the beginning of July and I’m still getting emails from them about Orientation and if I’m still going. I of course emailed them and let them know I had already told the school I wasn’t attending. This was an instance where my gut feeling was right — I hope your experience has been a good one, though.
  4. @GoldenIslandGirl I actually decided to go with UMiami. I found out the other school was hyper-religious and it didn’t come up in the interview. The impersonality I was talking about was because I didn’t get to talk to any faculty or program staff during the process and I agree I don’t know basically anything about the program. That probably seems crazy to pick this school, but I wanted a “name” school with a great facility and “campus”, I wanted to be in Florida and I wanted an accelerated program. I’m nervous about 12 months but I am very very hopeful the incoming class will be collaborative and supportive of each other vs unnecessarily competitive and faculty will be great. I hope this answers your question- I had pros and cons for every school and this ended up being the school with the least amount of cons for me.
  5. I put a deposit down at a masters entry program elsewhere. I thought UM was to impersonal for me, unfortunately. I wish all of you the utmost success ❤️???
  6. I did call the school about cost and here's additional info for those who may want it... I'm still not 100% on what I'm going to do. MONEY - $42,000 base tuition - $2,800 "max" fees per semester (if you don't want insurance, this number will go down) x 3 semesters = $8,400 - $50,400 tuition & fees (without factoring in living expenses) - If you find an apartment for a LOW $1500/12 mo lease = ~$18,000... cost ^ $68,400 if you're planning this out. - Financial Aid will be put through after deposit is made and may not be processed until November. PROGRAM MISC. - Program is 5d per week. Typically can start anywhere from 7a and last until 7p based on faculty work schedules. - If you have a clinical on a Saturday, you will get Tuesday off (just an example). Shifts would be 12 hours long and could be 30 miles N/S/E/W.
  7. I *think* I saw somewhere that as of Jan 2021 Costs were 42,000 plus student fees BUT I’m calling today before I sign my life away on their COA.
  8. @FutureMaleNurse I got accepted since my status changed on SharkLink. My overall experience really disappointed me and maybe I’m digging into things too much, but if you felt the same way then I guess it’s good to know I’m not alone. I wish you the best and I hope you do get accepted. ?
  9. If anyone is making / made a FB page - let us know ?
  10. I got an acceptance e-mail at 12p!!
  11. I meant The last day of June. I’m making Summer move faster than we need it to! @drayy good luck to you!
  12. I'm waiting to hear back from UM as well. Admissions estimated Wednesday and that would make sense based on the timeline since that would be the end of the month (July 31). Good luck to everyone who still has applications out there!! ?
  13. Hi everyone. I just got admitted to Nova for the Fall ABSN program, however, I am feeling extremely hesitant on accepting. My interviewer seemed a bit curt at some moments, an admissions rep never reached out to me, the website seems very wordy and I couldn't find the start date of the program listed anywhere. I don't have an 'official' letter of acceptance - I was told by the interviewer I was being put through for acceptance and additional information showed up on my SharkLink. Otherwise, I'm calling different departments and trying to get answers. Am I the only one who has had this experience and should I be concerned?? Thx in advance!! ?
