  1. The Department will provide you with all the uniform ordering details - just don’t sleep on it. Order the day you receive the uniform info.
  2. Just finished my 1st semester, and our book bundle was over $700, prolly closer to $800 actually. I will echo what our 3rd semester friend shared with you all that it is IMPERATIVE you order your uniform right away. The company is SUPER slow with processing orders/shipping. Also, if you are in the afternoon cohort, buckle up for a bumpy ride. Remember, you are not competing with each other anymore, and the only way you can make it through the first semester is if you stick together as a unified team, sharing any and all information the Professor may relay (sometimes she only shares info with one person who is then supposed to update the entire class with any changes to schedule/assignments) and also sharing study materials. Keep records of all documents, bc as you’ve already seen, the department Is sloppy with keeping records, so you may be required to submit the same form two or three times. Congrats and good luck! ?
  3. For the Math, focus on knowing ratios and household measurement conversions!! Good luck!!
  4. Who are you taking for BIO 420 this Summer?
  5. What doesn’t make sense about having us wait for well over a month for these results is that they are literally only comparing two scores - our PCI GPA and our HESI tests. I could see it taking this long if we had to submit other items for review like resumes, or professional references, or even an essay. But no - it is just our prerequisites and HESI test scores. Why is this process so drawn out?
  6. Crickets over here as well (chirp chirp)
  7. Did anyone notice on their HESI scores under “My Exams” that there is a “Class Average” next to the score you received on the test. I am wondering if these are just generic averages used by HESI or if they are really based on the averages of the people who applied for BMCC Fall 2021?
  8. Congrats on finding us! What was your CT score?
  9. I remember her saying from the info session, and she reiterated it before we started our HESI exam, that you will be notified by June. The July date is for the orientation if you are accepted.
  10. That's the impression I was under too, but I am just wondering in a hypothetical situation if you had Person A (new applicant) who got on overall score of 92% and Person B (reapplying) who also got a 92% score who would be chosen to get in? It seems like since you can only apply twice to the program, they might let the person reapplying in. Just something I have been thinking about.
  11. Congrats on everyones HESI scores! I took the test yesterday (so happy that is over!!) and there were 12 people in my room taking the test. I know someone who took the test on Monday and said there were only 5 people who showed up to take the test - I guess there were 6 no-shows. What I forgot to ask in our zoom info session last week, was if the people who are re-applying for the program (taking their second HESI test) get priority over new applicants? She did state that there were less new applicants this semester than normal, but remember we are also competing against people who are re-applying. I am wondering if they get priority over a new applicant or whether it is solely based on our pre-requisites GPA / HESI test scores. I hated the reading portion btw!!
  12. I stand corrected. You are correct, the subjects are critical thinking, reading comprehension, math, and A&P. What is everyone using to prepare for the critical thinking portion?
  13. Hello, I also sent my application in January, and did not receive a response. I followed back up in March, and was told that my NPAC was never received. I re-submitted it, and was notified in early April that I qualified to take the HESI2. My GPA is 3.85. The topics included on the test are Math, Reading, Grammar, Vocabulary, and A&P. I believe there are 4 hours given to complete the exam. This year the tests are being administered in early May. I hope this helps a bit - maybe follow back up about your resubmitted application to you know exactly what's going on. Good luck and don't give up!!
  14. Congrats! I am 5/5 at 9A. Is it just me or is the HESI being administered much earlier this year? Isn’t it normally given at the end of May?
