  1. Hi, I am currently licensed in NY. I plan on moving out west in the future and I am confused about the process of transferring my NY RN license to another state. NY is currently a noncompact state and I plan on moving a compact state. Have any of you transferred your license from a noncompact state to compact state? What is the process and requirements and how long does it take?
  2. Hello I was recently working in a skilled nursing facility and ultimately decided to leave due to unsafe working conditions (no proper training for a new grad right out of school, large patient loads, no leadership around to ask for help) and I have been looking into clinics to work at while I wait for a hospital job (all hospitals in my area are currently on a hiring freeze due to COVID) I just received a call from a recruiter to work as an RN in an allergy clinic and I have an interview set up. What are the responsibilities of a nurse in this field? What are the typical pay rates?
  3. Hello I am a new graduate and after not finding much luck landing a hospital job right now due to COVID I am turning to working in a skilled nursing home. I’ve heard back from a couple of places I have applied too and was wondering how long is the typical orientation for LTC? As a new grad and not having a tradition capstone due to the pandemic I am very nervous about getting proper training. How long was your orientation in LTC and what should I expect from it?
