  1. It’s the same with every college bridging though. You need to have certain percentage in the bridging program to move onto the university part. All the bridging programs require this.
  2. It was a waste for me as I already have undergraduate degree from University of Toronto and the reason I chose to take course with Athabasca is because Ontario Tech requires that you take courses after completion of your RPN diploma to consider it for upgrade. I would not have to take electives irrespective of Athabasca courses or not.
  3. So for me to get into Ontario Tech I had to have average of 86%. That was their cutoff this year and last year. My average was 84% so I had to take a course at Athabasca to upgrade my GPA. Even though I got into Ontario Tech for this September after upgrading I decided not to go there because it requires me to go in person for some courses. I work full time so I can’t do that. To get into George brown-Trent you only need average of 80% and competitive Casper results. you mentioned your average was 79-80%. You can into Centennial-Ryerson with that average. They don’t require high GPA. You can also get into George brown-Trent as well with Tver GPA long as you score high on Casper. You don’t have to take on extra courses to upgrade. Ontario Tech is very competitive and because I wanted to originally go there is the reason I upgraded. At the end I just ended up wasting money for no reason.
  4. As far as I’m aware only Ontario Tech University allows people to take up university or college courses to upgrade their GPA. This can be pretty much be any course from any university or college. You mentioned you have 3.4 GPA, is that out of 4.0 or 5.0? What is that in term of percentage?
  5. I did it at Athabasca
  6. Hey, I took a course called COMP 210. I finished the entire course in 5 hours and ended with 99%. It’s a introduction to computer course but you don’t need to know anything about computers to do this course. I ended up getting accepted to UOIT after upgrading but I ended up choosing George Brown-Trent at the end. Hope this helps
  7. Hi, That’s what I’m planning to do also. I’m going to be finishing the program with exact 84% as you so I have no hope of getting in for next September. I’m planning to take some courses to upgrade too. The thing is that I already have university degree so I’m confused as to if I can use some of my university courses to boost my average because on the UOIT website they have mentioned that courses needs to be taken after the RPN completion.
  8. Hello, Did you end up getting accepted at the end? If not did you end up getting to another bridging program? Hello, Did you end up getting accepted at the end? If not did you end up getting to another bridging program?
  9. Congratulation on you acceptance! When did you finish your RPN program? Did you already have your licence when you applied? With two courses remaining I will most likely finish with 85% average overall but I'm not sure if thats going to be enough to get me in.
  10. Hello, I’m planning to apply for UOIT RPN to RN bridging for 2021 September intake. My current average is 83%. I just want to know if anyone who recently got accepted to UOIT bridging what your average was. Have any of you taken the university courses to upgrade your percentage to get it? Thank you!
