Yes, I stayed in KY after graduation because I was offered a day shift ICU position right before the pandemic hit! Definitely didn’t feel prepared after graduation, but that was the case with every new grad in the ICU during a pandemic. I definitely had a good foundation going in though, so I think the program gave me what I needed. Another user listed a long list of pros and cons earlier in this thread, but the cons are mostly cost, some program disorganization, and the fact that you need to put everything else on hold for a year. Pros are that you’re done in a year, professors were mostly really good/fair, and you’re around classmates who are also really motivated. I honestly had a great experience and would recommend it to people who can learn lots of information quickly and test well.
