  1. Hello AllNurses Community, Are there any RNs here who have worked for UHC as a case manager? Would you be willing to share your experience and starting salary? Thanks in advance!
  2. Hi all, I am a new grad and will be starting my nurse residency program in a few weeks. I am nervous, excited, and anxious! I love this forum to hear other's stories, experiences, and insight (especially during this first year), so I already know the likely challenges that await me. That said, ANYONE HAVE ANY POSITIVE STORIES FROM THEIR FIRST YEAR? OR POSITIVE STORIES FROM THEIR RESIDENCIES? My goal is to remain realistic and prepared, yet as optimistic as possible, for what is ahead. Thanks!

@NewNurseBSN congratulations on your new position in the nursing home/rehab center. I just accepted an offer today to work at an Urgent Care clinic and I couldn't be happier about the opportunity. I wish you the best of luck on your career path!

Hi there! I also graduated in May, passed my boards in July, and am having a hard time find employment...except that I am in Hawaii. Due to my location, there is only one hospital here, and the new graduate program which we were supposed to begin interviewing for during our last semester has been put on hold until further notice due to COVID. While I understand the circumstances, it is hard not to feel defeated as a new grad with limited employment options. I have contacted 3 urgent care centers (not hiring) and was turned down by 3 different positions I applied for (home health, primary care clinic, COVID position assisting with schools) due to lack of expereince. While I don't I have any words of wisdom or advice, I want you to know that you are not alone and that I feel your pain from all the way out here! Let's try and do our best NOT to feel defeated, stay positive, and remember that the nursing profession is not going anywhere...we WILL find that first RN job at some point! Take care~
