  1. You do need a specific laptop that can run certain program that will be needed for nursing exams because they are completed on a computer. You can access the type of required computers on Rutgers website or type into a search engine Rutgers Newark, Camden, New Brunswick, laptop requirements! Hope that helps.
  2. Also financial aid depends on if your independent and dependent: so I would confirm with the monetary limit based on that! That price is off campus.
  3. It cost me around 35,000. That’s basically with only the classes calculated. You need to get a specific laptop that can run their programs. Buy uniform tops. A student pin. And of course the books and online access. Also need to purchase Castlebranch for $200. Any physicals or shot you need to get done too. It can be costly.
  4. No our classes haven’t been populated yet. —Camden
  5. It is still pending until the health services nurse approves of it. I called and a woman checked all of mine off. The orientation will cover all information. By the way I am a re enrolled student as well.
  6. Yeah it’s not mandatory but it is nice. You can google it, it’s when they indite you into the program and you get a white coat, like a doctor.
  7. Girl I feel you. We will find out everything on those days. It’s from 8-4 and make sure you register for the white coat ceremony from the email. Also make sure you get your shots done.
  8. I’m also a re enrolled student! Congrats! It’s gonna be around 7800 a semester. Meaning 7800 times four. Since we already have bachelors degrees we are not eligible for grants (Pell, tag). They will send an email about immunizations. I talked with someone on Monday and they will be shortly sending us an email with orientation date. CPR is not a requirement. But if you have it already that’s a plus (which I do). Good luck!
  9. Never heard of it. Are you a re enrolled student? Or new to the school. I’m a re enrolled student which means I graduated from there and I don’t see anything that you are stating.
  10. No I haven’t gained access to that. Not sure what that is?
  11. Camden. Semester begins Jan 21. Orientation will not begin until early January. They will send a notice in your email. Immunizations- you should have received an email to either update or submit it online. FAFSA- check in your my Rutgers portal. —No problem! I have heard of the Bridge Program. I just graduated from rutgers Camden this past May (psych, bio) So I have learned about the Bridge program. They have more information online on the website about it. I feel like they are going to do the orientation the first week of January and go over this information. Don’t stress it! I would do the immunizations that they request and upload them asap. Also, make sure that you decline the health insurance as long as you have your own private one, because that is an additional charge about 1500$ if you don’t do the waiver. It’s called university health plans and then type in rutgers Camden. It needs to be in by January 31, 2020!!!

  13. I am going to Camden location. They didn’t give us our schedule as of yet. But I know that it will be worth it, regardless of times. Do you have any family that can help? Also, Rutgers has a daycare well at least at this campus that they give discount for! my kids are a little older 10 & 7. So it’s still rough, but I’m not sure how old your kids are!
  14. Hi Gina! I have two kids. It is going to be a struggle but it can be done! You can do this. Everything will work out. What campus are you going to go to?
  15. For Camden! It’s on the website under scholarships. I will leave the link here and they tel you the requirements. More the. Likely we won’t be eligible for it for the first semester. https://nursing.camden.rutgers.edu/nursing-student-scholarships
  16. The tuition in total is 33,000. Apply for scholarships with the nursing department! since we are not offered Pell /tag or any other grant from the government.
  17. I think you should go into New Brunswick and then ask for a transfer after you’re there! It’s hard to get into these accelerated programs, don’t give your spot up!
  18. For Camden enrollment. You should have received all the information on if you need to update immunizations and also received your financial aid award letter if you qualify. I received both and I am currently working on completing the immunizations. I believe when I talked with nursing admins, they will have our orientation in January.
  19. Are you guys Camden or Newark?
  20. Are you for re enrollment or just coming into Rutgers? For re enrollment you don’t have to do anything but wait until the email comes. If your a new incoming student from another university I think you should contact the Nursing Department tomorrow and ask what you should do. Okay the reason I’m asking is because I graduated from RU Camden this past spring. I am a re enrollment type student since I’ve already been and graduated from there. I just have to wait for an email on instructions on what to do! if it tells you to pay the fee then I would do so! I have not received any of that information as of yet. I would call the school and ask what your next steps are for you.

  22. No. For Camden as long as you don’t decline the application it’s used as an acceptance!
  23. I got in to Rutgers Camden ABSN in Camden!! is there anyone else on here that did? Have you heard of any orientation dates??? good luck to all of those out there who haven’t heard any news!
