Yea your TEAS score is AMAZING, specially for the time you took to prepare for it ?. I took like 2 months to prepare for it and got an 86% ( I used pocket prep & Mometrix book ). I’m also applying to the Houston campus! ??Hopefully I make it, because I’m sure with your scores you are in! ????I’m just taking my last prerequisite class, which is micro. I’m also interested in applying to UTHealth and UTMB. However, I’m hoping I get in TWU or UThealth so bad because I live like 10-15 mins from the med center as well. I’ve heard UTMB is a good school too, I just think the driving is going to be hectic.

Oh wow your admission score is great! If you don’t mind me asking, what campus are you applying to?
-
TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?
It was 38.4 I believe. I had no preference nor any previous Bachelor’s degree so those points were just for my science gpa and teas scores ?

TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?
I applied to the Houston campus which is believe less competitive than the Dallas.

No problem, and good luck! Yes I will apply to uthealth as well, however I’m not really getting my hopes un for that school, because nobody really knows what they go based on to accept their students. I took the HESI already just in case and got a 90%. That way I can at least give it a shot.

The first link explains the steps for you to do the calculating , and the second is where you actually do the calculating. https://twu.edu/media/documents/nursing/Instructions-for-Completing-Nursing-Prerequisite-Worksheet.docx https://twu.edu/media/documents/nursing/GPA-WS-2018.xlsx

I honesty do not think so because the deadline is until the 15. Usually you get your scores right after you are done taking the exam. Just make sure you send them right away. Last time I didn’t get accepted took it I took it on the 7th of August actually and they still got my scores on time.

I would say retake it. If your cumulative points is less than 45.3 (for Houston campus). The Dallas campus is WAY more competitive. If i’m not wrong I think the students there apply with at least 53 cumulative points. This is actually my second time applying to this program because I did not get accepted in spring and I had an 83% on the teas and like a 3.68 science gpa. I also believe the spring is more competitive than the fall, so you might want to shoot for at least an 87% on the teas.

Try those links. If they do not work, then just go to google and type “TWU nursing spreadsheet”. You should be able to see 2 things: one DOC which explains how you calculate your points and one XLS where you actually do the calculating. Hope it helps. https://twu.edu/media/documents/nursing/GPA-WS-2018.xlsx https://twu.edu/media/documents/nursing/Instructions-for-Completing-Nursing-Prerequisite-Worksheet.docx
