  1. Thanks! Definitely not necessary to buy every single textbook. Most can be rented for a lot cheaper on Amazon and there were also PDFs for some of them too (I think I have the links somewhere if you want to message me privately I can send them). I would recommend buying the Medical Surgical Nursing textbook (Lewis) as you'll need it for all of the A&E courses. I would also recommend purchasing the Nursing Diagnosis Handbook (Ackley) - it's super helpful when you have to write your care plans.
  2. Hi all, I will be graduating from the NYU accelerated program in about a week!
  3. 2.7 (B-) I believe.
  4. No it didn’t mention it in the acceptance letter.
  5. Congrats! When you go to View Application Status do you see an Admitted Students Portal Button? If not, I had the same exact problem. It's because whoever went through the acceptance process for you just forgot to click a button. I called Admissions and it took two people to figure it out. If this is the issue you're having just call Admissions again and tell them you think there's a technical issue and to look up your name. Worked for me. Hope that helps!
  6. There is no purple "Admitted Students Portal" on my page. I'll just have to email them I guess. Thank you though!
  7. To the people who got accepted - Does someone mind sending a screenshot of where they see the "Admitted Students Portal"? Because I got accepted today and am trying to accept the offer but I don't see it. Thank you!
  8. Congrats guys! I also just got accepted! Kind of freaking out...
  9. Do you know how many people are typically in the Caldwell program?
  10. Congrats! If you don’t mind me asking, what other program did you get into?
  11. Mine is still there. Good luck!
  12. If you email them to ask lmk what they say!
  13. So I just heard back. The program is 4 semesters but 2 years because they don’t have classes in the summer. So it’s Fall Spring Fall Spring
  14. So did I! I think I'm going to shoot them an email. Kind of weird it wasn't included in the packet.
  15. Maybe nursing courses take 2 years for the 4 year bsn because undergrad 4 years typically don’t take classes during the summer. Sorry I’m just thinking out loud here. I guess we’ll find out soon enough hopefully!
  16. 2 years just seems long for an accelerated program.
  17. There are 16 nursing courses so wouldn’t that be 4 semesters (4 courses a semester)? Which would be 15 months if we take classes in the summer. Am I missing something?
  18. Did you email and ask how long the program is? Because there’s no definitive answer on the website and it says 2 years under FAQ but I believe that’s talking about the students doing the 4 year BSN because they don’t start the nursing courses (clinicals, etc.) until Junior year.
  19. Do you mind sharing your stats?
  20. According to last years thread they sent out both acceptances and rejections in late April. I applied at the end of January so it’s definitely not just based on when you applied.
  21. ugh my checklist is still up does that mean I have to wait another 2 weeks?? haha good luck!
  22. Not yet. I just emailed and was told decisions were mailed out today so we should get them soon!
  23. I haven’t gotten anything yet.
