  1. Hello everyone, I am currently working as a Pre-op/PACU nurse at an ambulatory surgery center. This is my first nursing job and I have been here for about 3.5 years. I feel like it's time for me to move on and take the next step with my nursing career. There is not much more to learn at my current job and I am honestly really bored with it. I want to expand my nursing skills and maybe learn a new specialty. I have considered working in the hospital, however, I'm not sure if the experience is worth the mental and physical stress. I'm unsure if I should do inpatient or outpatient. My PACU experience is not considered acute or critical so that limits my options as well. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
  2. Hello everyone, I am a recent nurse graduate in NYC. I have been looking for a job for about 3 months now with no success. I would like to work in a hospital but so far I have been either getting rejected or still waiting for an application status update. There are some job openings in clinics for new grads which I am considering. I am also considering working in a LTC facility but I am afraid I won't be able to survive that long and will be too stressed. By working in a clinic, I don't want to hinder my chances of getting a hospital job. Does anyone have any advice about what path I should take or job experience they can share? Thanks
  3. Hello everyone, I applied to the NYU Fall 2018 New Grad Nurse Residency Program back in September. It has been 2 months and I haven't gotten any updates about my application status. I would like to know if anyone who has applied to this program has heard anything back? Also, does anyone know when the Fall Residecy program actually begins and when they get back to you for interviews? Thanks
