Hi, I am RN, BSN, that has 8+ years of Neonatal ICU experience, and 2 years and counting of pediatric physiatry experience. Recently, I have been looking for a change and have researched about HEDIS nursing. The allure of HEDIS nursing was the schedule flexibility, the ability to work from home, and the autonomy. I am friendly, detailed-oriented, and are used to taking calls from difficult people. I am recently in the middle of a HEDIS online training course at HEDISworks.com. For chart review, I haven't done it as a job but my office does receive charts for referrals and I do have to read through the charts and take out what we need and put in our own office template. I am wondering how to go about looking for a HEDIS nurse job? What other training do I need to stand out for a potential employer? I want response from any nurses that have experience in this field, how long have you been doing it, do you like it, if you get a HEDIS job do companies offer health insurance? What companies do I need to seek out to send a resume? What is your favorite and least favorite part of your job? Any and all information is appreciate!
