  1. The actual exams for grades are taken at a Pearson View site. Pretests are taken online and are timed but you can stop at any time. When you go back to the test it picks up where you left off so I would imagine the same scenario for internet connection loss.
  2. My wife completed all her Excelsior classes using the mystudygroup101 offerings and got B's in every class but did get 1 A.
  3. This is where the issue lies. Employers should not be permitted by law to make it a condition of employment, period!
  4. i don't know what ccp is and at the risk of sounding harsh, you should have thought of your future beforehand and studied more. hopefully you've learned something from this.
  5. As I said earlier, you can mix albuterol and ipratropium bromide together. They come together in the drug Duoneb. Do not mix Brovana with any other medcine in the nebulizer.
  6. Mix them together. They come premixed and it's called Duoneb but some insurance prefer the indivudual drugs due to the almighty $.
  7. You can still pass on the flu even if you are vaccinated.
  8. My school required us to pass numerous ATI exams throughout the program. From what I remember they are very much like the NCLEX-PN exam.
  9. I found out I passed by seeing my license posted on the BON website.
  10. You better go back and reread your post and mine. You said : To which I asked you to cite the law to back up your assertion. While I understand this discussion is about the flu, you made a general statement.
  11. I understand case law, however, your citation is not applicable to the discussion at hand.
  12. You are human and will make mistakes. You gave a prescribed med to the right patient just not at the right time. Be happy you reported it and took responsibility. That shows character. Also be glad you did not give the wrong meds to the wrong patient.
  13. Please cite me the law that says I cannot walk around "as a petri dish of disease"? Do you realize how many "bugs" you carry on your skin everywhere you go? Isn't everyone a "petri dish of disease"?
  14. I most certainly do have that freedom. Please show me the law to the contrary. Again, please point me to this law.
  15. Please elaborate as to exactly what you are saying here? Incidently, there is no such thing as constitutional rights. The USC BOR does not grant you rights.
  16. Perhaps it's just about personal freedom
  17. IMHO what we need is a law prohibiting employers from requiring any foriegn substance from being injected or otherwise introduced into an employee's body. Along the same line it should be illegal for employers to ask if you smoke or test for nicotine for the purpose of weeding out a person from potential hire. It is a sad state of affairs when a legal activity prohibits one from hire. We are losing our freedom folks. Where will the insanity end? I don't smoke BTW.
  18. With or without the vaccination and even if you are not sick with the flu, you can spread the virus to anyone.
  19. Wearing PPE and getting a foriegn substance injected into your body are two very different things. How is that not plainly obvious?
  20. While I don't hate my boss (new DON hired in May) I do hate some of her management techiques. The biggest peaves are her lack of communication to her staff and managing from behind the desk. On the positive side she has made some long in coming decisions that have improved some overall aspects of the job for the benefit of the patients and staff.
  21. Yep, happens all the time :icon_roll
  22. Yes and it doesn't make sense from a competancy POV. The SNF where I work has a higher acuity than the hospital med/surg units in my nursing school clinical rotations. Like I've said before, this trend has nothing to do with patient care but has everything to do with what looks good on paper to the suits.
  23. You said not everyone who refuses the vaccine has made an educated decision. What then did you mean by that statement?
  24. Can you provide a study(s) that shows the effectiveness of the flu vaccine?
  25. The flu vaccine does not prevent the flu.
