  1. Hi! That's actually a question I tried getting answered before starting as well. Every term is different. Our first term in as follows: Mon & Tues, 2 classes each day so we're on campus all day; Wed we have a lab, which is only 2 hours long; Thurs OR Fri are our clinical days which is assigned, we don't get to pick days or locations. Next term, we'll have classes and labs Mon-Fri. First term is the only term to have a day off during the week. It takes me about 40 min to drive to campus in the mornings. It hasn't had a negative impact on me so far; I was able to study for the Med Calc exam in traffic, which I passed! Hope this helps
  2. Are you applying for this spring class?
  3. I had 2 pending prereqs, but I applied just 2 weeks after the application opened up in March
  4. I sent a friend request to the only Brenda Blanco with no pic and no info. Hopefully that's you lol
  5. Hey I was just about to shoot you an email regarding housing search. Lemme try finding you on FB and I'll add you
  6. @BBlanca I didn't have a FB before but I just made one to connect with y'all. The group is private, so no access to it without an account. I have found some housing that allows dogs. It'd be great to connect. I'd love for my dog to have a friend to hang out with lol. I live in Texas right now, but I'll be moving from Arizona to Miami. @IceSkate I found you on Facebook but I can't send you a friend request. The group is called University of Miami ABSN Spring 2018
  7. Hey everyone! Congrats on getting accepted! Remember to join the Facebook group and join the discussion on roommate/housing search. @BBlanca I will also be moving to Miami with a dog. Would love to live with someone who also has a dog!
  8. They're dealing with a hurricane right now and have closed campuses. I know it's hard, but be patient with them
  9. I had spoken with both the financial and nursing office a few months back trying to get an idea on how to finance and how much would be offered with the FAFSA. Basically I was told I was calling too soon, that they were still putting together the financial aid packages for the class that had just STARTED. The nursing school offers no scholarships for our program. So it looks like we're stuck with taking out loans and, if lucky enough, finding a scholarship to cover some. Even with financial aid, they said the money won't be dispersed until after classes started. So finding and financing a living situation may be complicated. They told me students coming out of state room with other students in the program.. that's a whole other issue to work through
  10. Congrats to everyone getting accepted!
  11. It was about $230 if I remember correctly
  12. I sent a friend request to the only person that popped up under that name
  13. YAY somebody else with a dog!! I'm moving from Dallas with a large-ish dog and wanting to get a house (with a yard) with someone else who has a dog (or at least a dog lover). If you were interested in connecting or sharing space, we can message each other
