any problems taking classes?

Specializes in SRNA.

I'll be graduating with my BSN next year and I'd like to start taking some classes as soon as I feel somewhat settled. The school that I'm interested in wants me to apply now, but I have no idea how regular I expect my schedule to be. I'm assuming that I'll be working nights, which is fine by me. Has anyone had any trouble attending classes because of schedule problems? Are schedules usually pretty regular or are they all over the place?

Thanks,

The facility where I work has been great to me about flexibility; they are strong supporters of education.

I would recommend being very up-front when you apply for work, letting facilities know that you may be asking for some flexibility with scheduling as semesters go by and the school schedule changes.

Just be sure that you talk about it *before* accepting a position.

The whole issue of having the time and energy for school is different for different people - and I'm sure that you will get lots of different opinions.

Hope this helps??
